I generally stick magnetic USB C connectors into things like keyboards, phones, and iPads.

The slight bulge is worth the reduction in insertions. Also is very convenient for snapping when I need to connect.

I need to look into this more. I was trying to vibe code an OBS plug-in just last week to measure sync between audio and video.

My system flashed the screen white and played a note. The idea was to have the camera detect monitor brightness and detect the offset from the audio note. I'm practice the brightness of a 40 inch TV didn't seem to impact the video of the insta 360 link webcam.

(I ended up vibe coding a Python GUI to quickly allow me to push through video frames and show the audio frequency. I could quickly type 'v' (video) where I clapped and 'a' (audio) where the waveform changed. It would then tell me the offset...

For example, I play a lot of ultimate in the summer. I play with a lunchtime pickup group, so there is a forcing function to play. I like to bike, and helping coach my daughter's high school mountain bike team ensures I get a lot more miles than I would otherwise. In the winter, I have friends that I ski with. I also enjoy exercising on my own, but some activities are better as a group.

When I worked in an office, I played a lot of ultimate (lunchtime pickup), but also would do walks with colleagues. Great way to combine debugging, learning, and exercise.

I think the should get the local sports teams involved. Put a little heat map down the side of the Jazz's jerseys. (I mocked this up on Twitter a few years back).

I have something similar. Someone asked for a signed PDF. I digitally signed it and sent it to them. They said it has to be scanned. So I did some image magic fu to it to rotate it and make it look crappy. Then they accepted it.

Frontier LLMs work great with Typst. (Have published multiple books using it).

Using this just this morning on my DGX Spark. A little slower than frontier models but my $200/mo weekly usage exhausted with 3 days left on the week...

Interesting. I make a bunch of video content and I went another way.

When I want to redo a section, I say it again. But, I have a magic word — "mistake" — that I insert before. Previously I transcribed and just removed the sentence (or section) before mistake.

I recently automated this and used AI to determine what to cut and to drive davinci resolve to make the edit. Saves a lot of time in my workflow.
