Am I the only one who thinks taking a huge model trained on the entire internet and fine tuning it is a complete waste? How is your small bit of data going to affect it in the least?

Considering AI is trained on the average human experience, I have a hard time believing it would be able to make any significant difference in this area. The best experience I’ve had debugging at this level was using Microsoft’s time travel debugger which allows stepping forward and back.

I am personally proud of my use of AI because for anything non-trivial it is generally a conversation where each recommendation needs to be altered by an imaginative suggestion. So ultimately it’s the entire conversation that needs to be considered, not just the “final” prompt.

PSA anytime tinnitus is brought up. I thought I had tinnitus but it turned out to be ear wax resting against my ear drum, and the doctor fixed it in about 5 minutes.

I would say it's risky to keep such large deposits with a small bank. We use Wells Fargo for a reason; they make conservative investments and are very unlikely to be shutting down.

I think it's usually that the company's failure would have too large an impact on the economy or other dependent companies, so it will get bailed out by the dependents or the government.

It all depends on your setup. The technical work was only a week for us. Getting approval and setup with a merchant account takes more time though, and they even came to do a physical inspection of our place.

We switched to Authorize.net because the business risk at Stripe was just too high. The api isn't near as good, but it works, and we don't worry about random account freezes.

It is noble, but I disagree about ads. Maybe there are products that chess players would be genuinely interested in that a company would be willing to pay to have advertised. It can be completely customized to be tasteful and unobtrusive, and users may even be thankful for it. On Wikipedia I’d way rather have tasteful ads than the half screen request for donations.

I would rather it focused on the sources, so if the main source is drinking water, is it not being filtered out? What is the distribution around the whole US?

I prefer making all my sites work just as well without JavaScript as with it. This is cool though if you need a quick check to see if JavaScript is enabled.

Yeah, it feels selfish, but quarantine has been great for me and my wife’s personal lives. More time together and more time for improving ourselves.
