It makes me physically angry that the gov't has the nerve to even suggest that they can remove Assange. These kangaroo circuits need to be vanquished. The world has been shown that the law ONLY applies to the common man, so why should I even hold a notion that a court could possibly be legitimate?

It makes me so unbelievably sick that the western powers that be are TORTURING a journalist because he exposes their sick crimes.

It was just something I remembered that I found interesting when I first learned about it prior to this article.

You bring up a point of interest to me about the potential for malicious code that would bruteforce private networks to use as a covert channel. In regards to IoT devices, is there any documented cases of this happening in the wild? I could possibly see actors inserting malicious code baked in that would search for public wifi networks in things like a smart TV.

Not sure if the article mentions it (haven't read it yet) but JTF-ARES was the force tasked with sabotage and often it was against targets such as the militants video (propaganda) productions.

Edit: Really not sure why I got downvoted, as I provided accurate info?

Thanks, I see another poster found a link to a statement they have on their site about it now it seems.

There is a particular leaks site that also called out Proton for routing their connection thru a similar shady service in the past.

It's like when they used Radware for _protection_ but I do give them credit for abandoning them after all the public outcry.

I'm very curious op, where/when did you first read about them using Neustar? I didn't know that until I read your comment.

I would _never_ trust anything *proton. They hide behind Swiss law but will cave to any serious American request for info.

So, if I am reading this correctly, the cops are complaining that citizens are recording them with home cameras and expect to be able to go into a person's home with no accountability.

Solution: Make your own "smart" electronics if you desperately feel the need for a light bulb that can talk to your toaster...

Related, I see the user redis_mlc posted a very insightful comment about how the American court system fucks over the defendant for the government every time, and it's "dead" for some reason. I suggest everyone turn on show dead comments because usually they are the most helpful the majority of the time. When information is being suppressed you know it's good.

Colleges are in for an extremely rude awakening. No more int'l student tuition coupled with the fact that most people don't need college anymore when you can learn better than some two-bit "professor" could teach you with just a set of instructional videos. Add in a take home exam and now you are running your own ivy league education for free.

To use a powerful animal tranquilizer on a human being just to make some cops' job "easier" is about the most abhorrent, sickly thing I have heard in years. I don't want to read any more of this.

To think of all the complications in a person's body from experiencing a drug that puts your conscience in a literally black hole (K-hole) is just sick. It's wrong.

If anyone is struggling to replace specifically Google's search, may you check out SearX. It's FOSS, ability to self-host, no-logs, and does a wonderful job if you have set it up correctly.

A working instance to test before hosting your own: https://searx.info

Let me know how you liked it.

Helpful tip to anyone not able to access TPB over the clearnet due to any number of issues is they host an official tor onion:

http://piratebayztemzmv.onion

Edit: Just want to reiterate. This is an actual official tor onion mirror. TPB has had problems with an assortment of proxies over the years doing nefarious things, such as while hosting a copy of TPB, the malicious proxy would inject JS/start crypto-mining in your browsers background. The link I included is from TPB official site and doesn't have said issues.
