I’m sure many of you were asked to engage with some product announcement, hiring post, or whatever on LinkedIn. With SocialWeaver, we remove all friction from that process by letting employees like, share, and comment directly within Slack and Teams. As a Muslim, I disagree. A business is more than the sum of its revenues. Marketing, research and development, relationship with clients, etc. are all part of the business valuation. If a buyer looks at some business and decides its worth 10x, then that's not haram as long as you're not deceiving them.

I second this. I switched to Apple Maps earlier this year and never looked back. I find the UX, especially when driving in CarPlay mode to be superior to Google’s.

I’m not sure I agree with this. I currently live in Arlington, and used to live in DC a few years ago. I moved here because it is safer than DC but still 10 minutes away from DC, has fantastic public schools, and even more fantastic public parks, much cleaner than most areas of DC, cheaper, tones of restaurants, bars, etc.

There’s a bit more to it I think. Pricing and basic messaging aside, you can build robust applications on top of MS Teams and have complete freedom over the UI, functionality, etc., but you can’t do the same with Slack. In many cases, MS Teams can replace Slack, but Slack can’t replace Teams.

This won’t be a problem once you can feed it an entire solution. I suspect we’re not too far from being able to do that.

I think its both. Per OP, the process of producing their art no longer takes weeks when using AI, therefore, less people will be needed.

We have a business that relies on the Twitter API. I don’t mind paying to access the API, but the way they’re handling this makes me want to deprecate support for Twitter entirely. I am only learning about this change from this thread. Even worse, we only have 7 days to react.

This is a plausible explanation considering that the drop in market share is not that big. It would be interesting to compare the numbers from the past two years.

Unless your coworker configured some plugins or extended some classes, a vanilla tailwind config with JIT-enabled should be all you need.

We've been using Tailwind for over a year now. We use it with Angular for our web application and with Gatsbyjs/React for our production website. I have nothing but love for Tailwind.

Couldn't agree more! I'd like to add to that the terrible UX. In fact, Salesforce is so terrible that there are dozens of businesses built around just configuring it for you.

I’ve been using tailwindcss and tailwindui for our production platform (released), and our new website (in development) and couldn’t be happier. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to build stuff very quickly. For our production platform, I have it running on top of Angular and Angular material. Getting tailwind, angular, and material to work together wasn’t easy, but once I got it up and running, it was pretty straightforward to start building new pages or modify existing ones without having to change existing styles.

I had two major complaints and this update fixes both. The first is the enormous size of the css file locally, which caused the browser to become considerably slower and made the developer tools really slow to load when selecting elements. The second was the lack of the !important selector.

Thank you! Well, the rest of the story is pretty vanilla. When I got to the US, my best friend managed to get me an unpaid internship that later converted to a full-time job. The first year or so was tough, but I had good friends and good mentors who helped me move up the corporate ladder. I'm currently working on my own startup like most people here.

I came in as a refugee. There was no deal; I took an English proficiency test at an L-3 Titan site and passed, then was offered a job at two different locations. One of them was the ICS (Iraqi Correctional Service), and the other was just too far from where I lived. At the prison, I discovered that someone was swapping the Pentium CPUs with Celeron and told one of the American advisors; He fired me, but later realized I knew what I was talking about and asked me if I could build a database. Fun times.

Your comment makes it sound like prisons are nothing but torture sites, and that couldn't be farther from the truth. The database was necessary to establish a reliable paper trail and prevent corruption, which was widespread.

Hm... Maybe I should get my story published someday too. Born and raised in Baghdad. Lived through three major wars and participated in the last one as a translator for the US army. Built Baghdad's first correctional service access database, which ended up being used at three prisons including Abu Ghraib. Spent over a year living as a refugee between Syria and Jordan before getting admitted to the US. Started with 20K of debt and.. who am I kidding.. No one gives a shit.
