Hey everyone,

We have been working really hard, for the past year, on creating BitEscrow - formally known as LightningEscrow.

Our service is non-custodial, meaning that we do not hold onto your funds - but rather facilitate transactions using hash lock contracts. This also means that we do not require KYC. In addition, BitEscrow is incredibly fast, with transactions being 130-190 times faster than fiat escrow, with future plans to support the Lightning Network. There will also be a full customer service suite to handle disputes.

We are scheduled to launch by the end of the year, with a fully functional website and API for wallets, marketplaces, and banks. This will be an important product for Bitcoin because it will introduce the concept of disputable Bitcoin transactions for buyers and sellers - similar to a credit card. We have also built parts of it on Nostr - to help us be the mediators of the contracts, and not the host.

Let us know if you have any questions, we will answer as many as we can.

Hey everyone, for the past 5 months we have been working on LightningEscrow - A fast, secure, and affordable escrow service using the lightning network; we are non-custodial and open source.

Escrow.com takes 3-5 days to process a transaction and has a minimum 3.5% fee + other hidden fees. LightningEscrow takes only 3-5 seconds to process, with a 1% flat fee.

The version we show in this demo is still in beta, however we plan on having a consumer friendly version by Q3 of this year.

Join the wait list at LightningEscrow.io and be sure to tell your friends!

Hey HN. I am seeing if people want an entirely new ecosystem.

- Windows 11 and Microsoft ruin everything they touch

- Apple is overpriced, and trying to take control of the privacy narrative

- Privacy should be a focus for the future

- Google's data collection is getting out of hand

- Linux, web 3.0, etc seem to be on an upwards trend

- No good consumer-friendly alternative to iOS or Android

what are your thoughts?

- you can become a host and make money storing peoples stuff - the money would be going back into the community instead of a traditional storage facility - those who don't have storage units near them can now have access to affordable storage - no contracts, hidden fees, or BS.

Hey man! thanks so much for the feedback. Eventually, I will have coverage for your stuff included in our services, for free. I would really appreciate if you had any ideas on how I could increase security - maybe with something like a security seal on all boxes?
