Amazon and MGM: Time Is a Flat Circle

Naive question. How does the method in the OpenAI and Stripe flow charts differ from buying from a 3rd party seller on Amazon, which requires no agent? I don’t see what the agent is doing independently in the payment part.

That includes -4.8 percentage points from net trade which comes from two sources:

1) Importers getting ahead of tariffs in Jan and Feb. 2) -2.3 percentage points of the net trade deficit estimate was from imported non-monetary gold, because Americans want portable wealth right now.

The thing to be concerned about is that real consumption is up only 0.3% quarter-over-quarter annualized in this estimate. This is two-thirds of GDP. Investment is actually pretty strong, especially equipment (GPU servers).

Right on the heels of claims of accounting irregularities by Hindenburg, Super Micro announced today that they would be filing their annual report late. Very bad look at a minimum, and the stock down 25% today.

Pro user. I use it primarily for stock analysis. I feel like it is a step up from 3.0 Opus in “intelligence,” but a massive improvement on speed when I fill up the context window with documents, which is often. Looking forward to the Opus variant. FWIW it writes R and pandas code pretty well, but I haven’t used that extensively.

My view is that there is extrapolation going on. They look at the progression of GPT 2-3-4 over a relatively short number of years and are extrapolating to a near future where these things are much more capable. FOMO. But the history of AI is huge leaps from a technological innovation, followed by years of crawl, and all this extrapolation may be wrong.
