And first thing is, why the fuck are listening to you about Politics and Religion. What is your experience on those area so you can enlighten us. In which forums (nowadays they are called chat groups) have you debated hard, holding your ground. And how many people have you convinced on 1 vs 1 ideological battles.
I'm tired of false prophets. And I get this Paul guy is someone related to the world of software. But someone should steal him the mic when he starts talking about topics he is not experienced enough.
People need to keep their Identity BIG. But they need to realize about the bad things in their cultural heritage, keeping only the good things and erasing or transforming the bad ones. It's simple.
But Paul, if you don't know about how to convince people that is opposing your views then please don't try to make magic 1 liner recipes for everyone. Cause people is dumb, and many of them will blindly follow your command without fully understanding it. The same thing as with Agile methodology and other abstractions (10 commandments for example) that come from many years expertise of one guy with much wisdom, but that at the end, people blindly follow without making them think or test it to see if it's right.

"Ideas" is a broad concept. Those are not product definitions explaining it's characteristics, what problem they solve and how the are bein monetized in detail. Those are just paragraphs talking about markets with potential money.
I have a really great concept I had a week ago, and I'm now writing a detailed document about it. I'm currently employed and I plan to kickstart it by means of some contact in a group chat that is going to Thailand and there she has a domestic friend who is successful at coding (I think) and is launching an startup/product. I saw his product, the concept fails.
I have a $Billion+ idea, and I'm not exagerating. This is my realist side talking about it. I already had been too optimistic about my ideas in the past.
What I want to say is I would love to start working about it with an elite tech team and some money behind it... But there is no way I'm posting it here, explaining it as best as I can (the vision, the why's...) for the public. No f*g way.
Do you really think ideas are worth nothing? All the first intuition about a problem you are trying to solve, that depends on parameters like motivation, experience and (abstract-visual like) intelligence. All the market analysis you can make about it. The detailing and identifying the core elements that make your service great. And so on.
All of that is inside the definition of idea. So no, I don't think they are worthless.

I also could have my nuances with some things said there. But I don't think there is so big of an ideological breach among people if the debate is proposed from a pragmatic and resolutive standpoint. Wouldn't many of us agree that a government should control or manage some resources and give free land for innovation in others? Couldn't we debate about what would be the most efficient way to organize a public governing body, area by area, and how?
So, when when say AGI, what do we mean? Is it about creating a new intelligent "being" or mimicking what we perceive as human intelligence inside some hardware? I guess it's the the first one.
And I guess AGI would be just 1 intelligent being because there is no need for more as they would communicate and share intelligence, so de facto being only 1.
Can all human intelligence also be understood as only 1 in some sense, as an isolated human without access to culture wouldn't be more than surviving animal?
And when defining intelligence's ingredients, isn't necessary some sort of "motivation" than drives someone to get better at something? Humans have, genetic (survival), social, personal... motivations. How does that translate to AGI, what could be it's motivation?
