In other words, the why but per task?

Definitely seems to be the case with Python. It just keeps adding features and doesn't resmble the nimble origins
Don't forget about HTMX as well.
I love it. Recently been rewriting Goleko.com backend in Go from Python. The errors as value paradigm is so nice for 90% of the time. It is so much more robust code out of the bat.
When did the EU start competing with companies? That doesn't seem like a good idea.
I love Cadd and I have been using it for a few years now. The documentation is kinda crap, but I still use less time to get things done. Most projects are just copy/paste of old config files. Everytime I had a problem, I asked and got an answer within 2 days. And nice answers, not like Stackoverflow...
Cool!
Standards are good, but I am a little weary about this. Is this another embrace, extend, extinguish moment?
I am not american so I might be a bit unenlightened here. But it sounds weird that San Francisco is running so bad and their put their faith in a "hero" dressed as an Swedish furniture store.
What am I missing here?

but what if I'd like to use it on a server? :P
Thanks for the explanation Ellie.
I would say the same for almost any company, but I've been with Hetzner for like 7 years and the prices, support and up-time is unbeatable. They're this German company, and if anyone knows Germans there are very keen on security. I trust my ID there more than I do at any bank that have it.
It depends on what you want from it, but it sounds like you want an adventure.
If I were you in this case, I'd only plan to take cc + cash + passport and some clothes. Don't overthink it.
Try to go to a hostel and stay there with other people. Just follow whatever happens (without doing too much dodgy stuff). Hostel people know how to have fun and find weird things to do. Also, be prepared not to sleep and "relax" though, so maybe only do that for half of the vacation.
Still waiting for webcam integration, nice to keep your meetings personal
wow that's an interesting thing, like a windows but for web. What do you use it for?
How do you integrate it with your server-side rendering part?
Thanks, I'll take a look :)
Never seen Lit before, interesting technology. It is "lit" :P
Do we have to build those ourselves? :D
Sounds interesting.
ilse.ink/components didn't work. Could you post a link to it?
Outlawing Bitcoin assumes quite some things.
1. The governments are competent and could do outlaw it - The outlawing of guns, drugs, alcohol, tax evasion seems to have had the opposite effect. 2. For all of the flaws of western governments, they are still within some kinda laws. Coinbase is a public US based company. They are entangled with pension funds, hedge funds, rich people. I am sure they would fight against this 3. This also assumes people follow the law. In general, people follow the law but when they see their banks implode, prices going like crazy, they lose their job... Well then they might not. 4. This also assumes the current system could survive. If you look at the math you'll see that there are not enough currency to pay of the debt. It is increasingly more levered system that is breaking apart.
1. As other people mention Bitcoin is highly divisible. 2. Other Bitcoins simply becomes more valuable and thus strengthening the system
This is the only argument I have found against Bitcoin that have substance. I can see this as a problem, but so far there have always been enough miners that was profitable. One day that might not be true though - hopefully it wont.
One reason for the halving cycle could be the way it kinda shocks the price and that makes people speculate and talk about Bitcoin like crazy. This is the perfect way to have a wrecking ball breaking the old broken system. Or it might just have been easier to implement.
This. Especially airplane bookings always fail.
Awesome, thank you!
That's very meta. Explaining how to promote open source software by promoting some open source software. I like it
Oh my god! That looks so much fun and so dangerous at the same time.
Hey Tozen,
Didn't know about this animosity or the fights that have happened. That was definitely not my intention to spur anything up. I have used Go extensively in many projects and in generally very happy when I need that kinda language (statically compiled, more "secure" handling of errrors etc.)
Thanks Tozen, I am checking them out now :)
