I used to live in a 1200 sqft house in LA without any AC or anything consuming too much electricity, and 10 years ago before all the rate hikes I was still paying more than $100/month in west LA.

there isn't even a need to see a lawyer about this. there's literally no issue here for the company to ever get sued over. the only risk here is for Elon himself to be reprimanded by the Tesla board. and the chances of that happening are below zero.

that's not true at all. there's no law that says Twitter/Musk has to pay Tesla engineers anything. it's only up to Tesla's management to decide what they want in return for those resources. Also, as CEO there's nothing stopping Elon from using all of Tesla's resources to help Twitter or any other company. it is entirely up to Tesla's board and shareholders to punish Elon for what should be a gross misappropriation of Tesla's resources

you're describing how most startups are founded: find a problem, build a solution, find users. from what you're describing you're doing an excellent job at it.

PMF is only needed when you're trying to build a certain type of company. if your goal is to build the next AirBnB or Coinbase, then you absolutely need it. if not, then you might not need it. you can build a "successful" company (in quotes because I learned that ppl define success wildly differently, sometimes) and wealth without needing PMF

it should be, and it needs to be if we ever want to fix this problem, but it'll be political suicide for anyone that even says this out loud. corporations would be all for it to.

(majority of) people with jobs have no idea how bad/expensive healthcare really is. they have excellent insurance coverage and they pay very little for it. if we make them responsible for buying their own it'll be impossibly expensive. but this is exactly what they need to realize so that we can have the political movement to overhaul the entire system

these are not startups though and you can't compare them to a startup.

sure, luck is a factor in everything but it's not a make or break factor in startups. in startups you make your own luck. you work hard, suffer the small wins and losses, until you get yourself in the right place at the right time. some people find that opportunity early, some later but both get there because they worked at it. even Uber founders had to work hard for it. and don't even get me started on Airbnb's founders

maybe they're underpaid (I think devs are underpaid too) but it is a very good paying job that doesn't need a 4-year degree and $100k in student loans. and to top it all off they're unionized, have benefits that would make you drool, and many can retire at a young age with full benefits. it's a well sought after job and a way for many people to move up economically.

I don't think anyone disagrees that single payer requires higher taxes than we currently pay. so given that, you're trying to tell me that a state with the highest taxes (much much higher than #2) in the nation, with the lowest housing affordability will attract more entrepreneurs than before?

why? because the young and invincible will be choose cheaper healthcare over being able to live comfortably? I highly doubt it. this has nothing to do with whether or not single payer is a good idea. I just did the idea that people will choose CA over cheaper states just for that reason

same here. the macs are under powered and overpriced but razer's quality is not high enough imo. I had to return my razer blade because of the constant fan noise even on idle. I just can't even take it to meetings or work in quiet rooms
