It's incredibly sad we've come to this and the free speech "libertarian" nature of the internet is long dead. These laws, even if found "legal", are just a band-aid and won't change the underlying truth about how half the country (and most new immigrants) think of free speech.

Good riddance. Journalists and the media have abandoned their roles as truthful arbiters forcing everyone into their biased corners (msnbc, Fox News, etc).

That's because we're stuck with loads of dirty energy. The ultimate goal should be unlimited energy for everyone, but only sustainable energy. That first portion is rarely mentioned in the climate change community.

The underlying problem is energy creation, not usage. If we had nuclear power plants everywhere and energy "too cheap to meter", no one would bat an eye at BTC energy usage. We need to stop thinking energy conservation, and start thinking on how we can GROW sustainable energy usage. People live better with more energy.

It seems fairly obvious you need these standardized tests, especially when GPA inflation would be incentivized otherwise, but the SAT and ACT drive some very uncomfortable discussions involving intelligence, primarily on its hereditary nature and the possibility of "group-differences". Gets even more uncomfortable since we're talking about children. If "group-differences" exist at the genetic level for example, why shouldn't affirmative action be required since disadvantaged groups also pay taxes to these schools.

Same here for physical "ideas"/ecommerce stuff. By constantly "failing", I've gotten very efficient at knowing whether an idea or product is worth attempting.

I will say there is a certain charm to being ignorant that I've seen bring people success (including myself). I've attempted ambitious SEO projects when I was less experienced and succeeded, and looking back in hindsight they were pretty crazy given the success odds.

I wonder if the journalists writing that know how much they're "stretching the truth". I imagine a spectrum of truth, a movable gauge. I'd be curious to see where people would place a title such as that given the reality of the "recall". The people writing the titles, owners of teslas, liberals, conservatives, etc.
