I don't think dividing opinions into conspiracist and not conspiracist is not a good epistemological basis. Opinions can be judged on the facts they are based on facts and how they are based on logical arguments or not regardless of their conspiracistness.
I like to read the propaganda / state funded media of most major nation states of the world: Al Jazeera, TRT, CGTN, RT, BBC, CBC, PBS, etc.
Western "propaganda" is the most insidious and frankly insane. At least with other state media it is clear they are being advocates and their own population don't believe it and won't defend it in private conversations. But in the West we have a way to make people want to believe, it is very uncanny. If I see another "let's go to war for Afghan/Iranian/Syrian women" documentary from the CBC I will lose my mind.
It's sad to see that the highest operating margins are not industries that produce actual value but financialized slop makers.

It's their private property, they can ban or promote any ideas that they want to. You're free to not use their property if you disagree with that.
1) They are public corporations and are legal creation of the state and benefit from certain protections of the state. They also have privileged access to some public infrastructures that other private companies do not have.
2) By acting on the behest of the government they were agent of the government for free speech and censorship purposes
3) Being monopolies in their respective markets, this means they must respect certain obligations the same way public utilities have.

This seems like good banning to me. Anti-vaxxer propaganda isn't forbidden thoughts. It's bad science and lies and killing people.
Any subject important enough in any public forum is potentially going to have wrong opinions that are going to cause harm. While some people could be wrong, and could cause harm, the state itself being wrong is far more dangerous, especially with no dissident voices there to correct its course.

Every time I read a part of the DSM-V, as a layman, I'm flabbergasted how vague and redundant and arbitrary symptoms and diagnostics are made (e.g. "if 6 out of 10 then..."). It just seems that on its face, while psychiatry has improved and began doing more good than harm since deinstitutionalization, it still lacks the rigor found in other applied scientific fields such as cardiology and oncology for example.
This study is a very good step in the right direction. The other direction is more quantitative methods such as measuring the brain waves response to a retinal laser flash to detect mental disorders (look it up, it's real)
I get the author's points, and they all are valid, but I don't understand why people would use generated code and its types through their entire project.
This is just asking for trouble when the API will inevitably break as all APIs will do eventually. In our projects I mandated and pushed really hard that we create intermediary data classes that correspond one to one to the protobufs (at first).
I got a lot of angry faces and reactions in PR due to the seemingly useless boiler plate code required but it saved our butts so many times when the API changed just before a release that it became the de facto standard.
Also, protobufs and GRPCs are a de facto standards. Are there better alternatives? Yes. Should you use those? Most likely not because the point of serialization frameworks is to be used by many people in various tech stacks.
