That is it, and the connector beneath the HDMI port is the same (but mounted) JTAG connector as the RPi2.

I don't know what is the chip, though.

Also noticed a 2-pin header between the 40-pin one and the upper USB ones: it looks like the "RUN" from the Rpi Zero.

EDIT: The 2-pin "RUN" header already existed on the RPi2, where the ceramic antenna is now located on the RPi3.

Given that: - ATmega328P AVR CPU is ~$2 / 5k units - a 64 x 48 monochrome OLED display is ~$2 (<http://www.aliexpress.com/item/0-66-inch-oled-64-x-48-Amoled...) - Given its small size and simple shape, I estimate the mold for the enclosure to be ~$2000, so < $0.50 per unit

We are speaking of a $5 cost. Ok, let's get a margin and double this figure.

Without proof, it is very difficult to find out who is telling the truth, and I sincerely hope that this situation will be solved asap for the product's sake.

From a more technical point of view, the Microduino board looks like an interesting idea, but as Open Hardware, you won't be able to prevent people rolling their own board, although you can block them from using a registered name (is "Microduino" registered like "Arduino" is?).
