The hook on both side of Gdocs is definitively something we would consider. But I don't know yet how Gdocs copes with header and footers. We'll discover that soon I suspect ;)

As a business we regularly send documents to our client. Could be a report, or a letter, or anything else that requires a nice and polished document.

The problem with Word or Libre Office is that once you've fight several long ours to make you layout or template perfect, there is always something not quite right. And when you're writing, you have to select the text where you want to change the styles on.

Using Markdown or Textile (with an already made CSS) makes it really easy to just write, hit a button and BANG, document is there, ready to be emailed.

Plus I see this process (easy Markdown editor) to be very usable with tablet devices.

But maybe we are wrong, this is why we were asking here ;)

Did I answer your questions?

I've been using the combo OpenBox and Tint2 for a long time now, just because Gnome2.x feels bloated and I could do anything I want by editing a simple shortcut file in my config. So yea I like lightweight systems, fast and blabla.

But the other day, after having bought a new computer, I did give a go to this beta Unity.

It's definitively not my taste, BUT I can see why this was made. It's clearly simpler than anything I've tried before on Linux. The "start key" open a sort of menu, type to search apps, all in the bar make sense, I'm not fond of the global menu, but well, people seems to like it.

We have to keep in mind that it's just the first release, and it'll evolve in the future, but after having tried it I went from a complete hater to a "well ok, it has it's place".

After 2 days I moved back to my simple and light openbox/tint2 combo, but well, this is only because I'm not the target market for Unity. Unity is for people not for hackers.

When I was working in the office, I was arriving earlier. And started to work straight when anyone was there. Fortunately enough the times when we needed to stay longer than usual were quite rare, so I never had to answer this question myself.

I live and work in England, and my spelling has never been an issue to find work. Ok my vocabulary is still limited, but I learn everyday. I might do some very strong grammatical mistakes and typos, but usually people just correct them I try to avoid doing them twice. All my post are now checked in Grammarly, to avoid those situations, but I know the process is not 100% accurate, but it's still better than nothing. I've just copy pasted the text in Google Docs and you're right there are few typos. I've going to correct them now.

I've tried different sleeping times and 7 hours seems to the one that suit me the most. Obviously this is not an exact science and I guess that as long as you have between 6 to 8 hours sleep, it's ok.

Regarding my relationship, we've got a very close one, but obviously we do thing on our side in the evening. Sometime I'll reading or gaming and she'll doing something else. But we like to keep the "going to bed together" and "having breakfast together" as much as possible. It's just more quality time added to our relationship.

I am working from home, but when I started the 5am thing, I was freelancing for a company in the city center. So I was going to their office every day (for about 6 months). And it was still great. My gf finishes her work at 5 and is at home around 5.30pm or 6pm, so yes our schedules works quite well with this lifestyle.

She used to get up around 6.30am so this wasn't an issue as she is not a night person. But now, she is an early bird as well, working on some study, and wake up at 5am, so it's definitively not an issue ;)

I agree that my post was more about making it the habit than morning is better than evening. It was just that I struggled to manage private life and work life when hacking in the evening. I might amend the post to make it clearer.

We've got quite large desk and good quality screen. So we just zoomed in on font size and that was ok. I would not do it on a projector as after few hours on a projector eyes tend to don't see anything any more.

We actually don't know how the category menu will evolute in fact, as we are going to index some blog and continuing to add recipes on categories will be a huge work! Anyway thanks for the keen words ;)
