Phasing like this immediately makes me wonder what google is lobbying for..

They also didn't/don't put a stop to the gambling sites, scams and non-scams, done with those lootboxes.
We have an epidemic of addiction to gambling in youth, where the arrow points at lootboxes as the gateway drug..
It amazes me how productive it's possible to be using AI, but I also has this nagging feeling that we are being reeled into being so reliant on this that when the price starts going up, we will simply eat the cost.
The math is pretty simple, and it's easy to justify still paying the price even if it goes up 10 fold, when compared to hirering more resources its still cheap.
So I guess having multiple players and competition in the market is the key?
Seems like a great analogy to me..
Not sure what to say, looks cool. One hit and then the ball kept rolling, very slowly, seemingly without any friction.
Sorry but can't wait until this whole AI situation finds a proper balance.
Whenever Elon Musk says free speech, I get the chills.
The premise of the project is he doesn't want to run code he doesn't know + in an insecure way, so having the setup step to install dependencies etc, done by an LLM seems like an odd choice. Like what part about the setup step is so fluffy and different per environment, that using an LLM for it makes sense?
Do you happen to have any information about which services and workflows they use?
"Eat real food" yet they seem to roll back regulation including but not limited to food safety?
Ads. This is how you get ads in streaming services.
It has been asked in the ESTA for a long long time, afaik even before Trump.
But can we please remember that there is a huge huge difference between being asked to provide it optionally, to being required to provide it.
"Sorry, I'm still learning to create images for you, so I can't do that yet. I can try to find one on the web though."
When you say easier to simply earn, I understand it as you think they do this to benefit their playerbase / users.
Yes, it says that they want a bigger cut of the sales when those items are sold. Not sad this hits the trading sites as that will also likely mean fewer will get scammed as they will stay in valves market, but saying valve is doing this for the users is crap, they do it for the profits, and maybe to stay under the radar of additional lawsuits regarding gambling laws around the world.
Nope, just no. When you make billions you have another kind of responsibility, you can't just brush that off as a problem with parenting.
I'm willing to bet a lot of the young people struggling with gambing addictions started with loot boxes like the ones valve make a ton of money on.
Why have they not sued him? Like isn't this slander?
Trying to look at the changelog and the roadmap, and what a spectacularly shitty way this was made.
A progress bar that never seems to finish loading, and restarts whenever you go back to the page, and then suddenly after navigating around and going back to the same page, I get a slow loading html table without any progress indication.
What a great way to really piss off users.
Cool! Am i the only one who has a really hard time finding what models are supported? It says on the frontpage that it's on the downloads page, but I can't seem to find anything? EDIT: It's on the builds page https://builds.magiclantern.fm
I came to the same conclusion after meeting old friends who had smoked a lot.
Cool, but it's not great seeing a swastika when zooming out..
This is cool, but there is no way I would want to have our test suite rely on LLM's for every single run. It would however be really cool to use this during test recording, to lower the barrier for users, among other things.
Cool idea, I keep wondering if this could be used in other settings as well, like a company advisory board meeting, brainstorming etc.
Also, it's not immediately clear that the input box on the frontpage is just for searching, I bet a lot of people enter something and click create, only to have to enter the topic again. You could pass that value to the create page and prefill it.
Whataboutism, and please don't compare the two.
This is extremely scary... and very much not a surprise.
What? - whatever nasty stuff happened because of those drugs being distributed and sold still falls back on that guy, and lets be real, some shitty stuff has to have happened with a direct link back to those drugs.
"America first" (read: "Trump first"). It is going to be interesting to see all the different ways that guy is going to enrich himself and businesses, again..
This is great! I wonder what the best way to get this up on a TV, preferably with control of the channels through the remote.
I can't say if it's inspired by the site you link, but basing your suspicion on the hexagonal shape is very weak, at best. Also, the data seems to be in different resolutions, and the actual jamming data is quite different just looking at both sites.
I've seen hexagons used for maps and boardgames for years.
It's dependant on the make/model.
I can't shake the feeling that at least some of the motivation from doing that kind of research, is to purely showcase how it can be used to increase productivity, in this case, in lab settings.
Yeah the developers and business people in trading firms should just do the risk assessment themselves, why have a risk department?
