this is really buggy and feels oldweb in a unpleasant way. like newer than visiting a site with no index page and seeing the vanilla apache file directory, but only enough to use old jquery-ish 2003 era web ui/patterns/components.

clicking a file and a big spinner appearing. hitting back button to go back up a few folders, spinner never goes away, etc.

This is the 4D chess kind of move you get when Musk's brain is operating at maximum capacity.

what is it with Australians and having the cheesiest names for everything? pokies. electricians are sparkies. bikkie. spewie. budgie. brekky.

it's like a bunch of babytalk only it's said by literally everyone.

i don't get it. we essentially figured this out in the first Matrix by having a bunch of cameras film an actor and then used interpolation to create a 360 shot from it.

why can't this basic idea be applied to simple 2d animation over two decades later?

this will never happen. why? because humans are outrageously self-centeredly narcissistic. so narcissistic that we invented religions where god is just an omnipotent/omnipowerful version of a man, and then we go "god created man in his image" to justify it.

humans can't help but be obsessed with other humans, the same way every species is hardwired in a specific way to relate to their own species.

the idea of any computer system "brain" not being compared and contrasted to our own is against our very narcissistic nature.

because America is a massive money-hungry machine and run by for-profit corporatjons, and if your business is treating chronically ill people, where's the money in preventing illness through proper nutrition and awareness?

jason fung and many other modern doctors have proven time and time again, demonstrably, that type two diabetes is absolutely reversible purely through better nutrition and dietary practices.

and it doesn't even have to be low-carb.

my 3 chickens have deep and complex social dynamics all while being able to pinpoint grains of quinoa off the ground faster than a robot while being able to spot the faintest outline of the tiniest potential threatening hawk 2 miles away in the sky, fully discerned from various crows flying around that don't phase them at all. their little brains are processing far more than me.

Pack it in boys! We've got one layer of abstraction here! Nothing to see here. It's not like the vast majority of "above board" companies don't have multiple layers of foreign shell companies and a dizzying array of abstraction.

in a sea of endless anecdotal reactions to this thoroughly-discussed situation, why, exactly, is this random blogger's lament of note? and why is the main image of a young woman's ass?

oh right. because this is blogspam.

boston dynamics is a govt psyop whose sole purpose as a company is to familiarize society with seeing robots before for the military & police industrial complex uses them to control us.

it's quite literally succeeding at it in front of our faces.

this is why their core product is video demos laced with cynical terror disguised as humorous pop culture references.

every single sub no matter how niche is infested with bots or spam/schill accounts.

every single parenting/mom sub is inundated by formula companies.

every fan niche like comicbooks is full of bot accounts in training (building up karma with low effort posts and repeat copy posts from previous days from other posters).

everything, everywhere.

if a data scientist thinks that data is even remotely accurate they should not be a data scientist.

why in the everloving hell do age gates make you enter an exact birthdate rather than a simple yes/no button.

out of curiosity, when and/or how often do these high-performance math libraries get folded into game physics engines? Like would Blaze offer any sort of advantage if you were to develop a new 3d soft/hard body physics engine?

this is an absolutely outrageously stupid title. The entire world is a massive processed food advertising and marketing engine. We are pumping processed garbage hyper palatable foods full of sugar and wheat and bad oils and then advertising them to children with lovable cartoon characters. And that's just barely scraping the surface.

The idea that some evil influencer sect are inappropriately schilling blueberries is one of the most perverse counter tactics I can possibly imagine by said industry.

it's hard enough for disabled people to get a non-shit wheel chair, you think the world is going to give them the most advanced quadripedal robotic walking system of all time for nature walks in the woods?

wow, I can't imagine having to scroll through 500+ lines of "logs" in every single file of that source code as a developer every time I need to find/edit code.

...wow, kind of fascinating. wish there was a post-mortem on failed attempts at this. I would not expect this, of all problems, to be unsolvable in 2024.
