Don't make me laugh. "Alt-right" is a stupid, nonsensical term made up by news corporations to serve as a convenient boogeyman, and the meme itself isn't sexist in the slightest. Elevated estrogen levels in men ARE detrimental for numerous reasons. This has nothing to do with women, period.

Soy is associated with elevated estrogen levels because of phytoestrogens. Whether or not they actually affect the human endocrine system isn't clear, but you can't deny the customers of Soylent products all share... similar traits.

A different version of "Soyboy" which itself is based off of the "Nu-Male" meme. Defining traits of a "Nu-Male" include (but are not limited to):

- A lack of masculine and mature traits (Excessively self-conscious, weak-willed, a canvas for [Current trends], potentially narcissistic)

- Beard-and-glasses aesthetic (Also previously known as the "Hipster" style)

- Terminally online and outspoken. Slacktivists

- Usually (but not always) "Leftists" with pronouns in their bio, LGBT+, BLM, Etc.

- Usually (but not always) white, male, and lives in urban areas (Portland, New York, SF, Etc.)

- Tries to come off as more intelligent than they usually are. Lacks perspective of the world at large.

And there is no shortage of these kinds of people on social media and in large technology-oriented organizations and corporations.

Except you could've, and still can. People need to learn how to adapt. There's no reason a Discord server is necessary for distributing and discussing anticheat software. Thousands of much larger, more important projects are doing just fine without Discord™ servers, and part of it is the people with influence putting their feet down at the mention of Discord, a glorified spyware platform populated with the socially deprived. Discord is rarely ever a key piece of infrastructure necessary for advertising and documentation for the majority of projects that have one attached to themselves.

The headline aside, people are absolutely going to grow closer to technology as it becomes more generally useful, its simply a matter of efficiency. Lots of people already live their lives being guided around by the invisible algorithms powering search engines and social media websites. The levels at which sites like Youtube and Twitter control peoples perception is insane. We're lucky that the people running them are too incompetent to make use of their personalized curation functions fully.

The terminology is not perfectly serviceable. Note how in my previous post I referenced his experiment, calling it a complete failure. The term "gender" came into existence because Money believed that a biological male could be "socially female" through surgical intervention and social influence. That obviously didn't work because the child refused to believe he was female and eventually committed suicide, as did his brother who was forced into sexual intercourse with him. This is what "gender" is based off of. Male and female roles have been dynamic throughout human history but both sexes maintained distinct sex-related behaviors from one another despite this fact.

Everyone in that video is more covered up than any woman at the beach, and if innuendo that kids won't understand is unacceptable to you, then basicly every animated kids' movie from the past twenty years would disagree.

The human body isn't inherently sexual, as evidenced by ancient humans and various current societies, so its not a matter of coverage but rather a matter of context and purpose (of the particular types of clothing used in that video). You are either extraordinarily ignorant, malicious, or both if you don't think that men dressed up as sexual versions of women along with sexual innuendo "It's not gonna lick itself" on the wall in a bar/nightclub is a bad place for children to be.

There are so many problems with simply linking individual (confirmation-bias-fueled cherry-picked) studies that I'm not even going to bother touching this.

The big "seeing the forest rather than the trees" idea that needs to be known is that mental illness is rampant in trans people and communities (aside from the transgenderism itself) and suicide rates are extremely high. "Neo-vaginas" do not have the same faculties as a normal vagina to maintain their cleanliness and will attempt to heal themselves over time unless dilated (As they are nothing more than glorified puncture wounds). Those that manage to de-transition rather than committing suicide are overwhelmingly regretful and suffer from numerous health-related issues.

Trans people and trans-friendly people subscribe to his research though, which is the issue. John Money was responsible himself and only himself for what he did. I've seen some accusations like this. Every time, the drag show has turned out to be completely G-rated, and they're offended at the lie that they would expose children to sexual acts. In many cases, it was the act of drag itself that was the supposed "sexual element".

An Appendectomy is what I'd expect to fall under "surgery with one of the highest satisfaction rates", not a festering "neo-vagina" that requires lifelong dilation and will never function similarly to a real vagina while the rest of the (now malfunctioning) male sexual system is still present.

We do not "validate" people with schizophrenia like that because it does not improve their happiness or well-being.

And its the exact same case with trans people. The suicide statistics, r/detrans testimonies, and general trans lifestyle problems are not testaments to "We do affirm transgender people in their identity because it does improve their happiness and well-being". Its obvious that "validating" them is only a minimal, temporary solution, if even that.

With all of the insanity stemming from trans people and loudmouths in the LGBT community both online and in real life, I don't blame people for losing their empathy and respect for them. If you're legitimately clueless as to what I'm referring to, look into child drag shows, censorship, the invasions of women-only (XX chromosome) spaces, legitimate cases of grooming occurring on platforms like Discord, and their generally insufferable attitudes towards people that don't perfectly align with their beliefs.

People are responding to you snarkily, but there's real value in preserving every species that exists, including gain-of-function research (Assuming it isn't conducted by idiots, no malicious motivations in the people conducting the research, and isn't kept in secrecy). The worms may be symbiotically beneficial to humans in some unknown, complex way, or could possess unique biological processes/elements that could be of medical significance. Additionally, having their genetic information in a large database WILL provide useful general biological and evolutionary information.

People have varying motivations for committing crimes. Highly skilled (or just simply lucky) black hat hackers can potentially make millions, which is far more than governments and corporations will hand over for equivalent activities.

Is it more efficient resource and time-wise to rewrite everything in [Language of choice], or to comb through the currently existing code manually and with special tools to find bugs and fix them? Is it more efficient in the long run? Will the current people working on Mesa be able to adapt to such a change (Likely irrelevant since they'd probably be the ones leading such changes in the first place if they were to occur)? Are the benefits/improvements even worth the costs in the first place? Is it sustainable (C has been around since... well forever, and it has a very rich, mature ecosystem built around it. Rust on the other hand has been around for a fraction of the time, suffers from core team (corporate) drama, and doesn't have a "fixed" standard like C does with C89/90, C99, C11, etc. as far as I know (Things might've changed in the past few months/year))? I personally can't see it as being necessary for high code quality and safety.
