Just tried it with verbatim but results are still no good =( I can see how it is doing exactly what it is told to do ("www.yelp.com/events"), but not what I would like. I like the idea of being able to do verbatim searches though! (and still miss the + button...)

You should have two options, one to use my account, one to use a sample account. People would probably view the sample first, and then if they were interested then they might sign in themselves.

My first submission to Hacker News (I hope I didn't screw it up). This project may not be relevant to many of you, but any feedback on the app or the website would be greatly appreciated!

Sometimes companies would rather miss a good person than accidentally hire a bad person. Google has no shortage of candidates, so they can turn down good hires and still fill their positions with other good hires. If they don't hire someone, it isn't always reflective of the candidate (although it can be).

You really need to work on your website content. The design is very nice, but after TRYING to figure out what it does (which most people wont do) I really don't have a clue. Your about page is a bunch of marketing speak which doesn't mean anything and the home page isn't much better. What can you do for me and what is my problem that you are trying to solve? The tour gets close, so move much of that to the home page and try again. I really like how the site looks but I don't know what it does... sorry.

There is a difference in "They still offer a crippled freebie for download on there site" and "They disable the version that I have on my computer that works just fine, and force me to pay money for features I may not be interested in". If they don't want to offer a free/old/crippled version anymore, I don't blame them. But if I already have the software installed on my pc today, and tomorrow it doesn't work, that's really lame.
