Very cool. Out of curiosity, for the retries why are the errors appended as system messages as opposed to appending to the user message? And in either case, would it help to prepend the error with something like “Be sure to avoid outputting something that would cause this error:”?

How do Epic's games benefit users in meaningful ways over any of the other games on the App Store?

They benefit the users who want to play those games. Fortnite in particular is huge.

I use https://github.com/clvv/fasd which has all the functionality of z but with some other goodies as well.

Buildkite (https://buildkite.com/) is so underrated and really nice! Much simpler interface than most other providers like Circle CI or TeamCity and works really well.

It almost seems like this company is in existence to get acquired by Tesla, which I'm not sure will happen. I wouldn't be surprised if Tesla itself implemented everything seen in the video in the Model S's next infotainment/firmware upgrade.

This is an encouraging piece of advice to those who have set goals and had trouble achieving them. Focusing on process allows you to revel in the success you feel from "ordinary" work and gives you the encouragement you need to push through to the next day.

One of Google's main goals in fiber was to pressure other providers to do better by their customers so this is a win by Google's measure. I'd be willing to wager that Fiber would provide better service, too, because Google is likely focusing more on their gigabit internet service than AT&T as it's new to the space.

The point he makes about the iPhone 5 not being received well seems to contradict the entire point of the article. If the iPhone 5 wasn't received well by name alone (after all, it doesn't have an "S"), why should the iPhone 6 be?

An uncle of mine was in a situation like this once. He was sitting in first class and had to tend to someone in economy class. He decided that it would be best that he stayed by the man he was tending to so my uncle swapped seats with the man's wife. They gave him a bottle of wine for his help but I would have expected something more.

Reading this nearly brought a tear to my eye. I can't imagine what it's like for a mother to fear her own barely-teenage son and worry about the implications of his condition for the remainder of her life. I agree it's important to discuss mental illness and how it should be handled, but what is she suggesting should be implemented to address situations like this?

I enjoy the idea of Flutter and the technology it demonstrates is quite impressive. I will say, however, it just doesn't seem like something that I could actually use on a day-to-day basis as it's faster and better on the battery to just press the play/pause or next/previous buttons on the keyboard (provided you have them). In fact, when I downloaded it, the only times I turned it on were to show my friends for novelty's sake.
