(O_O) I am in awe. He lived a real life action movie. While I'm not quite sure about his morals, I have to admit he's got some giant balls of steel...
IMHO we're better off without certain kinds of intelligence research. I can't imagine any good that could come from distinguishing a certain group of people as more or less intelligent. On the other hand, this information would undoubtedly be used as a rationale for all kinds of discrimination.
Interesting read. What he did was immoral, but I think everyone can agree he is brilliant.
Is there any reason we need to buy a special desk just so kids can stand? IMO you could get the same result by allowing kids to stand up if they need to or even better: stop killing recess, defunding gym, and banning dodgeball. Besides that, I don't think I would like the standing desk thing. I'd want to sit sometimes and lean back in a chair.
Schools are tasked with the impossible challenge of preparing thousands of unique children, each with their own unique situation and aspirations, for their adult life. There's no way such a system can tailor to all of these possibilities, therefore it basically caters the lowest common denominator. It teaches you skills that anyone—no matter how dumb you are—can learn. The least intelligent people are brought to a point where they can functionally work the lowest class jobs. Everyone else is basically disserviced. Students just need to forge their own path. You know what you want to do in life, and highschool isn't going to teach it.
It'd be pretty nice if they knocked politely and pulled the weeds up for me
I think this would be a good situation for a learning algorithm. Couldn't Markov chains be used in this situation? I'd enter this if I was better with Python.
They looked so sweet in their fancy outfits!
You should check out ycombinator's startup class. (It's free) http://startupclass.samaltman.com According to them, your better off with no cofounder than some random person you meet online. Ideally though, you should have someone you've known for many years.
Looks like the usual 'Millennial hate' to me.
I'm not using their API
That does seem like it makes more sense. I was just trying to make it short. I don't know if I can change it now though.
First of all I'm sorry it takes so long. I actually used this for extracting the mp3 https://github.com/flagbug/YoutubeExtractor As for the legal issue, I'll take it down if they ask me to. I've seen other YouTube video extracting things which makes me think YouTube doesn't mind so much
Thanks, I saw the gifyoutube one and made this. I was reluctant to share though because I was afraid they'd shut it down.
