The distinctions between African-Americans and African Migrants are interesting. The migrant groups have higher incomes, lower use of welfare, better academic performance. There are some Black STEM programs in the US that are entirely filled with the children of African migrants.
Personally I think the African American community could use less BLM and more of the values and ideals of these migrant groups.
Aus and NZ are still in futile COVID suppression mode, so they are unlikely to be taking in a million Hongkies any time soon.
I'm sure they'll get around to it though - it will reinflate their property markets which have sagged a bit this year.
African Americans and Hispanics are hired at lower rates into the IT sector because they have poorer outcomes in school, particularly for mathematics.
How does racially-biased hiring address that other than just placing unproductive workers into roles they are not qualified for, with flow-on negative impacts to the rest of the company and society?
Why is it that migrants from poor countries like Ghana, Nigeria outperform African Americans, when those migrants have no connections or local advantages?
It would seem to me that there are fundamental cultural problems in some ethnic groups in the US (eg. father absence, 'acting white' meme) that if addressed would actually yield improvements. Deciding not to hire White or Asian workers at Google does not - instead it diminishes the achievement or any Black or Hispanic worker who was hired based on their actual capability instead of just their skin color.

There are multiple court cases filed against Infosys and other Indian companies in the US for racial discrimination in hiring practices.
These are real issues that we cannot brush under the rug.
The ultimate aim of these diversity projects is to lower labor costs - either by psychologically manipulating people into accepting lower wages, by focusing on conflict and alignment along racial lines instead of class lines, or simply to expand the available pool of workers.
There are a minimal number of excess deaths now associated with COVID, so what is the problem? Allowing the community to acquire immunity naturally during Summer is a good way to minimise the spread of the virus come Winter. COVID severity seems heavily linked with Vitamin D levels, so lockdown during Summer would possibly have been counter-productive for the general population.

Why should Governments force people into lockdown for a virus with a CFR of 0.26%, marginally more deadly than the Flu at 0.1%? In particular, COVID deaths are concentrated at those aged 70+ with existing health conditions, so broad-scale lockdown and enforced mask wearing doesn't make sense - when targeted support for the elderly and vulnerable would be effective and less disruptive.

If you want to tackle Black crime, start with decriminalising drugs, and then getting Black fathers back into marriage and raising their children.
Destroy the idea that being law-abiding, studying hard, and being regularly employed is 'acting white'. Scale back welfare to make all these things more attractive, and restrict immigration to direct more job opportunities to African Americans instead of Latin American and Indian migrants.

I think its quite likely that without the media storm, we would have put it down as a really bad flu, once in a quarter century, and got on with life. Last time Sweden's death rate was this high was during their 1993 Flu pandemic (an event which is entirely forgotten).

The underlying factor is the aging of populations in the West. Look at the forecast age profile for Italy in 2050: https://www.populationpyramid.net/italy/2050/ about 13% of the population will be aged over 80! Mundane flu waves will kill scores of people, simply due to the demographics.
It is unfair to throw the rest of the planet's population under the bus to protect Baby Boomers in the West.

The green card lottery visa has diversity metrics built into it explicitly, which is probably why it receives minimal negative attention.
The willpower and genetic heritage of the poor and homeless isn't there. Most people at the very bottom are in that position because of mental or genetic problems. You cannot continue to throw money at it - you will end up with an endless burden. Instead just fund planned parenthood so that the cycle doesn't continue.

The single best move Europe could make would be to limit any digital stores to maximum 12% commission. That would truly reign in the monopoly power of these platforms (typically American) and dramatically boost the revenues of content creators (many of whom are European).

If this cuts deaths by 1/3rd, isn't that totally sufficient to end all lockdowns and border restrictions immediately? The death rate looks basically like the annual flu with this drug, particularly when we consider that it will just be one bad season then fairly minor from then on, when much of the population gets natural immunity.

Microfibers usually use plastic bottles and other containers sent for recycling. We need to simply eliminate that stream of waste. Banning single-use plastic is an absolutely necessary step - but the effort needs to be global, or at least rich countries need to force major polluters (Coca Cola etc) to act globally if they wish to retain access to local markets.
