This is pretty terrible for offline deployment. An install manager is useless for offline systems.

The sprinklers are a last ditch effort for larger fires (chemotherapy, radiation), which could save the building, but result in significant collateral damage.

Has to be an inside job. One doesn’t just simultaneously hack into an AWS account, know exactly which key is needed for coin minting, and know internal details necessary to exploit a smart contract. The nature of the hack practically reveals their identity.

Silly is not explaining why you can’t just pass a handwritten note like a polite person who follows etiquette. Polite people naturally won’t really just start speaking out loud; ones that know etiquette will pretend it’s more convenient for you to read their note when you can, and others will just note you are rude.

Assuming the party on the phone has been informed and the volume is not excessive, having a conversation on speaker is equivalent to having a physical conversation in person.

The advent of AI may shape up to be just like the automobile.

At first, it's a pretty big energy hog and if you don't know how to work it, it might crash and burn.

After some time, the novelty wears off. More and more people begin using it because it is a massive convenience that does real work. Luddites who still walk or ride their bike out of principle will be mocked and scoffed.

Then the mandatory compliance will come. A government-issued license will be required to use it and track its use. This license will be tied to your identity and it will become a hard requirement for employment, citizenship, housing, loans, medical treatment, and more. Not having it will be a liability. You will be excluded from society at large if you do not comply.

Last will come the AI-integrated brain computer interface. You won't have any choice when machine-gun-wielding Optimus robots coral you into a self-driving Tesla bus to the nearest FEMA camp to receive your Starlink-connected Neuralink N1 command and control chip. That could be any of hundreds of current and former students. It's not legal to do investigations like this since it ends up with a bunch of innocent people getting caught up in the surveillance dragnet, but they do it anyway and use a strategy called "parallel construction" to build a legal case against the suspect that coincidentally incriminates them for the primary crime.

I disagree. There should be no expectation of privacy for any public officer. Things like this website, body cameras, and FOIA requests are all for the public good. Expose corruption and keep everyone safer with a little accountability.

We need something like tracking cookies for model inputs and outputs.

Creators should be able to trace and quantify exactly what data of theirs was fed into the grift machine and be reimbursed directly by the grift machine custodian each time their data is used to generate new output.

A middleman who collects a giant chunk of creator royalties, for data that will be used perpetually by the grift machine... that sounds like a bad deal.
