Like many IT-inclined folk, I was recently tasked with setting up two new laptops for my father and brother, who run a mortgage broking business. Bog-standard Office 365 apps, OneDrive, Chrome over Edge, Outlook set up and all that. Given all the commentary I've read about the decline in quality of Windows, I was interested to see how frustrating the set up would be and how much bloatware and unasked-for installs were weighing it down.

Bit of fun too because it coincided with Australia's first World Cup game!

I agree. I'm in Sydney and certainly the next phase of development going through my suburb is duplexes. Suddenly you've doubled the amount of cars on the same block, and the garage is 50/50 used for one of the cars or not.

That's me in a nutshell. I've built a regular audience for my writing over the years. As the author suggests though, it might be a good idea to have a mirror.

This is a big one for me. Not so much the bringing the phone into the room to scroll through before bed, but working from home physically leaving it in another room so I can't instinctively reach for it and be distracted by it.

I second the writing. Having it on page, whatever the worry/worries, makes it tangible in a way that can be "solved."
