There's a version of this with "4"s that I have done through 20. I have used factorials and square roots but nothing more. I felt dirty.
BUT I did not use "44", which I did see in some solutions. That seemed out of bounds to me!
"There was a risk that such a single-minded pursuit of so difficult a problem could hurt her academic career, but Späth dedicated all her time to it anyway."
I feel like this sentence is in every article for a reason. Thank goodness there are such obsessive people and here's a toast to those counter-factuals that never get mentioned.
Oh, they moderate in China... https://www.deseret.com/2022/11/24/23467181/difference-betwe...
Most of "The Road" absolutely kills me. But Scalzi wrote something that's etched forever into my brain:
“For as much as I hate the cemetery, I’ve been grateful it’s here, too. I miss my wife. It’s easier to miss her at a cemetery, where she’s never been anything but dead, than to miss her in all the places where she was alive.” ― John Scalzi, Old Man's War
The language model that lies better than any other model in the universe? (just guessing from the training data)
The company's board (politcos) and syndicate (there is none) is a bit weird for a FDA approval...maybe there are some caveats or scope notes that I have not seen.
I think I recall reading a different version from Leibniz's POV (sp). I have always liked these videos:

Sorry, but why hold any of these people out as purveyors of truth?
I could rip a apart Thiel, Adams or Taleb on ___(their own dumb kryptonite). For example, listen to Taleb on religion. He's a buffoon. On power laws...very insightful.
I see no reason to glorify individuals outside of their domains.
Regarding Trump, he's just a Republican, as Hillary is just a Democrat. They are the faces of the machine. This is how most Trump-backers get comfort with Trump.
If Trump TRULY TRULY was anti-establishment, he would sound more like Lawrence Lessig and less like Archie Bunker.
OPM is terrible. Even the academics realize it (I think). This paper evaluates the analysis. There's a caveat on pg. 24. GIGO. In my opinion, it's not just a caveat. It's a killer. I'm not sure what the overarching societal value to applying OPM to private, illiquid company valuations could be.

TechCrunch has become the in-flight magazine of technology. How many of these marketing pieces are meaningful for anyone involved in the technology community? Moving on...
So build a better systems. Super successful artists have the ability to create better and "fairer" platforms for other artists and consumers (if that's your belief). We are all open to new models. Let's see how Patreon does, for example. I hated this article.
Very similar dynamics happening in Philadelphia. Go PA!
So we're thinking about an integration to EventBrite and TicketLeap as optional features after composing an event. Neither company's API (actually, I don't think TL has an API) considers sub-event data. So EventCast can essentially serve as an event authoring tool that can be pushed over to EventBrite (optionally) to enable ticket sales and other EventBrite features.
Competing against Facebook...If you are only inviting through the graph, it might be hard, but I think there are plenty of situations where organizers and guests are less well connected. Hmm.. LinkedIn...we're open to chatting :).
- abuse is a concern. I'm hoping the disposable nature of the experience limits it. - there is a monetization strategy dependent on the user base. We want to offer helpful services (deeplinking or otherwise) that are location/context specific. - there is a white-labeling feature too for a smaller cash-flow. Let's say Red Bull wants to use it for a Fleugtag (sp) weekend of activities. - we're hoping the disposable nature of hashtags will allow for enough of a namespace. - You have to subscribe through EventCast. Growing the userbase will be THE challenge as this is a tool useful when you need it but otherwise dormant.
The early users, though, found it to be their go to app at the 4AsTransformations conference, for example.
Franze is a good friend an partner on this project. I've done a lot of the Android front-end and another friend, Lucas has built the iOS version. It has been a labor of love.
As an example, my family and friends are using EventCast this weekend at the USA Disabled Hockey Festival in Detroit. You can subscribe to #USADHFPatriotC, #USADHFAmericanC, or #USADHFYouthSledC for live examples.
If nothing else, I hope it helps someone have a wonderful event. We're also talking to some tourism folks to have a perpetual event. You could setup #VisitPhillly and the owner could continually update new items. Think of it as a "fun things to do feed".
