CloudFlare is good at protecting websites.

They just need to be more transparent in the WARP+ app itself, and make it clear your real IP is exposed on the splash screen maybe.

The general understanding of a consumer VPN is that it hides your real IP address, and provides privacy.

The CloudFlare WARP+ app even says "Your Internet is private" on the splash page when WARP+ is enabled which is false, and misleading.

CloudFlare do not make this clear enough in their app, they should state clearly that your real IP is exposed on the splash screen.

Here's a test you should run.

Create a bitly account if you don't have one and login and create a bitly link for anything, it doesn't matter what it is.

Copy that bitly link to your clipboard and repeat what you're doing in that video.

Monitor the bitly link for clicks.

Better still do it on a website you control with a unique URL that won't get indexed by a search engine and monitor the web server log files for hits and keep a record of the IP addresses.

I agree, it's plausible.

But journalists don't stop at "plausible" and then write, they keep digging until they have "the facts" (or their biased version of the facts) right?
