Why not build your own comp?

You have an interesting perspective but I think you're overestimating the average American parent. I'm around kids and their parents a lot, most don't do their due diligence - they just trust the authority figure of a doctor.

Best way to figure out someone else's codebase, IME, is to just dive in heavy and start breaking things. Figuring out what's connected to what and why by removing chunks of code that you need to understand.
