What you fail to consider is that no one owns money. Once you die, you dont take your cash to the grave. Im getting philosophacal here, but people are only shepards to money. They are maintainers and once they die someone (or many) will take their fortune.

They are so cringy. It's like asking a kid what he would do if he was president... but actually taking it seriously.

The problem with critics is that they have no skin in the game. If they're wrong, they just shrug their shoulders.

You're a paid (if that) journalist writing for profit. Figure out some other angle for peddling your gossip.

In my experience, these things have nothing to do with the language itself, but rather that it's a second language.

As a non native speaker, you just don't have those strong emotional connections to words that a native speaker would have.

Studies show that a foreign language uses more of the thinking brain rather than the feeling brain (they showed this by asking personal / sexual questions in different languages to multilingual people.)

Realize that your opinion and ability to predict market actions is completely unfounded.

Whatever they're working on is like research. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. If you tell them it won't work (and you lack any relevant experience), they don't have a reason to believe you and neither do you frankly.

How fast are you really going?

One of the things I've thought about is relatively.

Consider a toddler strapped to his car seat in a luxurious BMW cocoon while his father speeds down the autobahn at 200km/h. He calmy drinks from his sippy cup.

You're in a passenger jet above him going 700km/hr. You're going 500km/hr faster than him.

But how fast are you really going?

Consider that the Earth is spinning around the sun at a rate of 1 billion kilometers per year or about 100,000 km/hr.

You're on Earth, so is your jet's true speed 100,700 km/hr?

Relative to the sun, yes, but everything that orbits our sun is considered our solar system which itself is orbiting our galaxy at a rate of 800,000 km/hr.

So if we add the 800k, 100k, and 700 km/hr your plane is moving, is it not fair to say you are traveling at almost a billion kilometers per hour?

I'm sure you can infer the galaxy itself is hurling through space at an ungodly speed.

I ask two questions:

1. When does this stop? What is the most supreme center in the universe?

2. Just as the child could roll down his window, and have instant access to the outside, is there a way we can do the same?

Yours is but one perspective.

It's a question if uber can race to self driving cars fast enough.

I am working on a networking algorithm and think this would be useful for testing and visualizing algorithms. But I had to look into the source and then the screenshots folder to figure out what this actually did.

You just have to develop some skills on how to better communicate your work to people. Everyone has this problem unless they develop the skills. Here's some things you should work on for promoting this project:

- User brainstorming. What kinds of people would find this tool helpful. I'll start off your list with 'anyone doing node algorithms, e.g. mesh networking, video game AI'

- Googlefu. Find these users across the web using Google's special operators. Note what kind of sites and communities they are a part of.

- Community reachout. Go to those communities and figure out how to communicate. If it's a blog or content site, could be as simple as leaving comments to more involved like writing posts.

In the switch varitation both the 1 man and 5 man group are tied to the tracks. For whatever reason we can assume fate has brought them there and it is our role to simply make the logical choice.

But to ask one to push a man right beside you, in the same situation you are in, is quite different. Not even morally related.

Economic activity is the process of changing things.

For example, a lumber will chop down trees and sell them for $5000. He changes forest into logs. A house builder will buy those trees, and then take the money he has saved and pay someone to make the planks, another person to nail them, and another person to do all the other things needed to make a house. This person changes some wood and metal into a house.

He will then put this house on the market and someone will offer him $30,000. His total cost was $15,000 and by selling this house he has paid back what he invested and has an additional $15,000 he can reinvest.

This person made more money than you (the laborer) because he changed more things. He changed some wood and metal into a house, while you simply changed wood into a plank as directed by him. Sure, he hired you and 3 other guys who technically did all the work. But this is a situation where the sum is vastly more than the total of the parts. You were the cogs in his "house building system".

If you don't like where you are, figure out how you can change this world more so than how you are now.

Our subconscious mind recognizes something and predicts a bad outcome, which gives us a feeling of something being wrong.

That's what expertise is essentially. Being able to offload things that took conscious effort before into the unconscious. So a bad feeling from an expert (subordinates are experts as well) should be voiced, and investigated.

What I meant by that was Opera lets users do what they want, and doesn't try to hinder them like google does when certain features are against their interest. Things like:

* Opera's extension store has Youtube Center, which google disallows in it's store.

* When you highlight text and want to search it, Opera lets you search using your default SE, and then a second option to use something like duckduckgo, amazon, wikipedia, etc..

Chrome started being annoying for me after version 36, but firefox was bad too.

Recently made the switch to Opera and it has been much better than chrome or firefox. Opera is based on webkit, so it renders just like Chrome, has the same web dev features, and you can use almost all of chromes extensions in Opera. On top of that, I find Opera to take out a lot of the annoyances I've had with Chrome. Also Opera doesn't track you like Chrome probably does, and it's not hindered by Google's politics.

I was hoping this was a system that captured your thinking and put it as text in the computer. That's something I want.

'Feeling' is a very broad term. My definition is the sum of your nervous system's activity.

What your nervous system decides to do - and what you feel like doing, are equal statements in my view.

That doesn't mean there's no inner conflict - there is. But if you imagine every neuron as a voter in a democratic election, the decision that gets the most votes is the one that you feel like doing, even though you are aware there are private interest groups of neurons that want something else.

I can definitely relate to this. There are definitely times when it's hard to talk to anybody... and I don't know about you guys, but with some topics I actually find it harder to talk to someone I know, than, say, a random stranger at a bar. Luckily I have at least one or two friends, who, for whatever reason, I can talk to about "founder depression" issues more easily than other people. Strangely enough, it's not even that they're my closer friends, they're just people where the nature of the relationship feels "different" in some subtle way

That's because you're trying to maintain / live up to a reputation you've set to people close to you.

You believe that if you admit fault, they will love you / want you less.

Where if you talk to people that aren't close, you have no reputation to maintain and their love doesn't mean as much.
