I keep it simple. Every morning, I write in a notebook listing my long term goals and cross them off as they get done. It reminds me of what I need to do every day and it is quick. I put a number next to the goal and if there is an immediate subgoal, I add a letter with one sentence explaining what it is.

I upadated it recently with layout improvements and added links to internet archvie audiobooks through Librivox for many of the books.

I focus on a few subjects in specifically, this makes it manageable, AI and libraries, AI and publishing, and AI and energy. Otherwise I would get overwhelmed.

A lot of sites require you to wait a bit before doing anything. Metafilter makes you wait a week before posting for example. They want long term people.

Maybe it existed in some other place and time, but we will never truly know. This article reminds me a little bit of Philip K. Dick's writings on alternate timelines. People remember a lot of things differently. Your memory of what happened in the past can actively change as you get older. The past might be fixed but your interpretation of it is not.

I am finding that crafts as a subject is somewhere between science and knowledge. People argue about whether a craft is an art or more related to science with things like glass blowing or welding. There are other things like how Greek drama basically set the standard on the types of shows we watch even today with television with its basic set of categories. There are other things like the further back you go, the more basic the categories. Since the beginning schooling both in the Egyptian scribal schools and the Eduba has been about reading, writing, arithmetic, and morals. People seemm to want to keep the morals part out of it but it existed in Egypt and Mesopotamia as kings lists, wisdom literature, and religion. The kings lists seem to be the original political documents. You can watch the subjects expand as you go forward in time.

Reddit has a magic quality to it. There are a ton of groups. Some of the groups I have used so far are Betatesters, Buildinpublic, Earlystageapps, Indiehackers, Sideproject, Startup Ideas, Y Combinator. There are also specific groups like Public Domain and Borges which I posted my app to. Some of the other social media Like LinkedIn and here have helped as well.

Not so much for individual searches, but for types of information. I have had people ask for hexagons covering ceramics, knitting, art, and other hexagons. A lot of the public domain sites are very generic. They are designed to promote popular subjects. Most of the tracking is at the hexagon level. Each hexagon has its own URL. I can add unique categories like Wisdom Literature, Visual Novels, Ancient Romance books. I can more easily add customizable subjects. The cortex map allows for a kind of browsing by subject. Once the subject is there, they go and find individual books. Through trial and error I managed to set it up so I can drop a full hex list of books in one step. It is kind of like a subject bibliography.

I have been working on Babel Nexus https://babelnexus.com It is a proof of concept for a site that uses hexagonal galleries. I wanted to show that it was possible to use the layout in the story from The Library of Babel by Jorge Luis Borges to put other things in it like collections of books and media. It is partially about hexagonal architecture inside websites.

Limit the number of tabs to 10. Or if you want to ignore it completely add more ram and memory.

Your better off using a news aggregator. newsnow.com is excellent at aggregating news. There are other news aggregators as well. Another trick is to set a major search engine in their news section to 24 hour search like Google News and then perform the search daily in the morning. A combination of Google News and Bing News will get a lot of the latest news with Newsnow. This will cover a lot of material. It will be more up to date than most LLMs with this pattern.

It is a good idea to keep a journal in this case. This way you can track what you are being requested to know. This will tell you if you have active gap in what you need to know for your personal or professional life. Once you know that you can start learning what is missing.

Visa Debt boosts consumer spending by adding to the Gross Domestic Product. People spend money they would not have had access to without credit cards or bank loans. The debt from loans flows to the business which the loan comes from. Also student loans suppress wages because of the need to pay off interest quickly. It is a double edged sword. Debt is a form of control.

Cambridge will give you more options in the long term. It will give you connections that Amazon cannot.

Our economy is based on debt. New money comes from issuing debt. If there are not enough people taking on debt, the economy will not function as well. This is part of the reason so many people take on debt. The cultural value is worth more than the monetary value.

It is very much a topic of the future. There are several science fiction novels written around it. Isaac Asimov has the Encyclopedia Galactica in his Foundation series. David Brin also has the Encyclopedia Galactica in his uplift trilogy. Gordon R. Dickson wrote a book called The Final Encyclopedia. It has been a dream for a long time. Some people consider The Library of Alexandria the first attempt at this.

However, classification systems are limited. There are currently over 13 zettabytes on the internet right now. This is more than any library can hold. We have entered the zettabyte era. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zettabyte_Era

  I believe it would take something similar to a multi zettabyte vector database attached to a knowledge graph of all the content on the internet and available content in universities and libraries to build a universal taxonomy. Artificial intelligence with human oversite would be used to create a self organizing map based on existing taxonomies like the Universal Decimal Classification or Library of Congress.  It would fill in the holes of the existing system.

I am playing around with creating a public domain repository for ebooks. https://babelnexus.com There are a few differences. It uses core collection theory and is selective. The name comes from the short story The Library of Babel by Jorge Luis Borges. Borges used Hexagonal Galleries for his library. I realized you could put anything into hexagonal galleries. It did not have to be books composed of random letters. I also saw that you could use different levels to group kinds of knowledge using the spiral staircase concept. I have added other concepts like reading trails and cortex maps. I learned that the hexagonal concept of Borges library matches with knowledge graphs with both nodes and edges. There is a lot of experimentation in what I am doing. It is an art project, a bit of philosophizing, a bit on the public domain and many other things.

Jensen Huang can take over both of their companies. Things might become a little better if he did.

There is a 150 KW Solar Array on Space X's first Data Center In Space It was launched in June of 2026. Technology improves at a steady pace. Space solar power is new and will improve over time because it is not a mature technology. The advantage is solar power in space. They will never stop getting sunlight.

I have always liked arXiv's articles on information science and library science. I hope they continue publishing quality research.
