a boat + demolition material are way cheaper than a rocket + demolition material, but that's not counting micrometeorites and such.
still seems like a daft idea all in all, or a very distant one at least.
hey at least someone is listening to it XD
I've got multiple hours of music in different genres and get 50 views in 10 years...
Becoming that which they would fight against might be a good strategy to get masses to move XD
if we can not do the things they are afraid of and just pretend we do :p
took a bit of time to read your work, interesting stuff even if it triggers people XD
the full realization of Humanity's potential indeed needs to permit such Choice that you could live your whole life without seeing another Human.
I still think we can build something better, rather than hope for AI or Alien overlords taking us to the next step ;)
90% of stocks are owned by 10% of the population... Are you guys crying for the rich?
oh the irony
On average people are incapable of holding a moral position through to the end.
- Bad parenting is bad, we should have a permit for it --> are you ready to get denied the right to try having kids?
- Thou shalt not kill --> except those really bad people I don't like!
- Stealing is bad --> except when you're "starving"
Our perception of good and evil are multifaceted, with most of it happening in our background cognition.
There is a strange "mirror" stopping people from exchanging once a rift has opened. Someone else posited that it might be a fight or flight reaction.
I posit that our cognition is based on negation, and thus the shape of our tool impact our results.
we may not be wired by default to include unknown unknowns in our decision making, even when we manage to include known unknowns :p
Most people are afraid of words, not a great start for discussion :p
And then there are forbidden words, words that make you lose your job, or your freedom...
Agreed, cognition and philosophy are technologies, tools. They shape what we can extract from them.
Thus the problem is not political but philosophical, how would we decide what to do when we cant decide what is worth more. We are stuck in a local maximum, with Reality as the fitness function :p
I've noticed this too, on average people are incapable of holding a moral position through to the end.

I use Explorer Patcher for this, works well enough (though I had to uninstall it to update windows then reinstall it)
let us ban knives then...
got a license for that mate?
"Coffee is mostly terrible in Italy"
say what?
cue the reglementations about feces levels in food, you'd be surprised
You can play someone else's shared library if they're offline ;)
And you can be offline and still play most singleplayer games, so enjoy!
rutracker.org has many things archived
would you say the same for trains?
and if not why?
that'll be a great line for the next struggle session
because fixing stuff is hard, it can even seem harder than building from the ground up.
But it would clearly be better if we could solve our differences like "adults" :p
"Nice people team" is sawing the branch it's been sitting on since the sixties, the floor is approaching ever faster.
just a feeling of insecurity ;)
I'm gonna need some evidence that's not just "trust me bro"
there's only ever a difference of 1 atmosphere or so between a spacecraft and vacuum, we're talking about a 400 atmosphere differential at those depths
Good point, we (men) might be oblivious to the fact that pressure has ramped up for women too, they now need to be a woman AND a man to get prestige.
It's been an ongoing adventure with my partner, she works very hard for a good salary while I'm the successless indie game dev. We talk a lot about it and our feelings about it, and I realize how privileged/lucky I am to have found her and that she accepts me.
She's crazy enough to agree with me on the fact that I might get exponentially more useful in case of a war/disaster, and that I'd make a perfect dad when we get to it :p
Nature is absolutely not "almost completely random", it follows the path of least resistance in any and all things.
Thus making it "Fair" if we had all the variables

As you can see from other replies: - the French people did not care that they had to sign a paper to get out to walk - that we closed libraries and forbade people from buying clothes in supermarkets - that Macron has been in charge of the country's finances for over a decade with horrid results (+600B€ in debt) - that Macron did everything he said he would not, and said a lot of things that would be treason in a reasonable civilization
We are the rooster that sings with it's feet deep in shite. It's gonna get ugly when it hits the fan.
looking at the majority of comments here, I'd say it'll take more than a decade...
People just seem to blank out anything really bad done by "their team" (be it either orange man bad or clinton is a traitor).
I fear for the future of Human civilization
