Zswap is better than ZRAM for this use case. ZRAM is only really interesting in situations where you don't want any swap to disk, like when running on an SD card or something.
When you have a dialog window too big for the screen, you can Alt+Space to open the system menu, then activate the Move menu item, then you can use arrow keys to move the window around, even with the title bar out of bounds.
On Linux it's just Alt+drag anywhere on the window to move it.
They looked at the global chart, but did they take into account that the Steam Machine isn't available everywhere?
It's also a single point in time while the chart is constantly changing. Right now for example the Steam Machine is in 3rd place behind Palworld, while in their calculation it was above it.
It's true the AAA devs don't optimize much but my point is that Microsoft don't decide that you have to buy a new PC every five years and there are a bunch of new games coming out for it that are literally unavailable on your old one.
It's the game developers who will decide for you on PC, but even Microsoft does so on occasion, like recently with Windows 11's arbitrary CPU requirements.
I never liked this map and don't get its popularity. Same for the one in UT99 with the two towers on an asteroid. They're just too brainless and chaotic for my taste.
No one is going to start building a game targeting a Playstation 4 today, they'll target the 5 year old PS5.
That's not true. New games are still being made for and released on PS4 and will still be for the next few years. If the PS4 hardware is enough for your game, you can just release there and people can play it on PS4 or PS5.
At those prices consoles would no longer make sense. I don't think there would be enough people who could afford them to have a good enough install base for AAA games. And non-AAA games don't need any more hardware than what we already had last gen.
That was true historically but is no longer the case. Even last gen manufacturing costs didn't go down as much as they used to. This current gen they actually increased multiple times.
