Been trying to contact the creator/owner for 3 days. I have his github access token, seen supabase service_role tokens. Wordpress logins, logins for various API's, etc, etc.

His AI answers his emails, lies about what it can do and 3 days later, still nothing is fixed while user secrets keep spilling.

Looks nice. Only critique I would give is the fact that they use public DNS IP's in the examples to scan hosts I know they expect the target audience to know better, but you'd be surprised

GIT is just the new Regex. Everybody uses it, most have no clue how it works and just copy/pasts stuff from other places/repeats the same little trick

From waaaaay back, I remember CDRWin by Golden Hawk was the best piece of software out there to rip CD's, with their error recovery, options to re-read the same thing > 50x, alllowing the whole process to take hours but produce results. Not sure if you tried that one yet? Not what you are looking for, but probably the best off-the shelf solution that exists (though state of the art may have changed in the last decade)...

Why don't you have that video on the app store listing? It would explain the game so much better than the 2 screenshots you have up there?

You should not ask for a users gmail username and password; there is a way to generate an authentication key for your app that allows the user to revoke the access later as well. I do the same for my mail delivery system.

Same. Games like Crazy Taxi and Vanishing Point blew me away; I loved my Dreamcast and it felt years ahead of the competition.

It's something that works very well here in The Netherlands. Also, because it's directly linked to bank accounts and you have to identify yourself, etc. to set it all up, it really isn't a problem here. If people see they can pay with iDeal, people will trust it and it really has not been an issue that I know of.

Here in The Netherlands, everyone is charged sales tax (it's always included in all prices that's communicated to consumers, required by law).

Companies pay sales tax to the state and can deduct sales tax they paid to other companies.

There are rules for applying sales taxes to other EU countries and it get's complicated fast; once you do more than X amount in another EU country, you're supposed to register in that country and file taxes in that country. Here in The Netherlands, we have a platform called iDeal. All dutch banks are connected and all webshops accept it (it's hard to find a place to use your creditcard here). Transactions are instant and non-refundable. Costs are around 0.35 per transaction and NO % fees. Just a fixed amount per transaction. For big volumes, that per-transaction amount can be lower. It's amazing and I wished they'd just roll that out worldwide. No risk for merchants at all.

You can just scrape it if you wanted to; grab the src of all the <audio> elements and page through them all. Use the names/descriptions for proper naming.

loading the website from referral data in a frame might not be too smart... I could poison those referral headers with some exploit loolkit and boom, you expose your users to a lot of BS...

My hourly rate is €85 currently, which is a lot for the small to medium size businesses I work for. Hiking up that rate would meen I would have to work for larger companies, which I don’t want to.

I work from my own office, and get to spend loads of time with my family; if I’d start to work for bigger companies, I’d have to work on-site and loose a lot of time in transit and make it a lot more difficult to dictate the working hours on a day to day basis.

Nah, but it's hard to launch a successfull product; if it wasn't, everyone would be doing it.

I'm doing contracting work for multiple different customers, long-term project, and I generate 100-200k of revenue on a yearly basis from that. That leaves me with slightly higher salary than if I'd work for a boss, but I have tonnes, and tonnes more freedom and time for my kids. It's just not possible to scale that past 300k/yr, because there's only so much time you can sell.

Once you have a product, you can scale it through the roof, since a digital product, if set up well, has negligible costs, will allow you to earn way more, but only if you find something that people want bad enough to pay for and a large enough group to pay for it. Loads and loads of people have the skills required to build a product, but not a lot have the right idea and marketing to go along with it to make it a success.

Well, Amazon is the place you bought them from, they are liable for your warrany, not the manufacturer, so it should not be your problem, Amazon will have to take care of it.

My experiences with Amazon have been amazing; I bought two 1TB 970 pro's when they just came out (hella expensive), and one of them was faulty. After explaining my troubleshoot, they were like: ok, sounds like you know what you are doing, we'll send you a new one, be sure to return the one that's faulty in the next few days. I was blown away, amazing experience for me and certainly a reason for me to look at Amazon first when I need something else.

Came here to recommend the same thing, and I think it's an even better solution, as it makes the light appear to come from further away and the diffusion prevents bright spots.
