Interesting, I've been seeing the same spam for Norwegian searches, but with the domain nem-multiservice dot dk, or nem-varmepumper dot dk - presumably another legitimate business' domain that expired and was grabbed by the scammers. Visiting those domains show the same graphic as shown in the article.
Almost any search in Norwegian will have obvious scam sites like these in the top 10 results.

3072 bits RSA for OpenSSH version 8 which was released April 2019. That is still considered safe, but the default in version 7 was 2048 bits.
Agreed, we sorely need a Sculpt mk II. It is one of my favorite keyboards too, I had big plans to incorporate a trackball into the empty space in the middle [1] (somehow make the split spacebar act as mouse buttons). But the terrible Esc & F-keys has put me off so far.
I too would love a plugin for this.. I'd like to run the LSP server in a Fedora toolbox, then some sort of property in the project's compile_commands.json or .vimrc that tells it where to find the LSP server. (Fedora toolbox mounts your home directory, so paths etc shouldn't be a problem.)
At the moment, I run everything (toolchain, LSP server, nvim) in a toolbox. Works well, but it feels unecessary to have a copy of vim in every container.

Looks like all the new Ryzen Thinkpads announced so far will use the lower power 15W models. I would love for 470p to make a return - a "T14p" with the 4900HS would be pretty sweet.
It looks like you can configure the Dell Precision 7920 [1] and the HP Z8 [2] both with 3TB if you want (admittedly at an absolutely bonkers price point).

I'm not very familiar with Kubernetes, but from what I've seen, to me it looks quite complicated. I'm wondering, when people say they use Kubernetes and consider it easy/simple, does that typically include operating the underlying Kubernetes container infrastructure as well? Or does "using Kubernetes" usually mean deploying containers to someone else's Kubernetes hosting (like Google)?

For compiling, having many cores is fantastic. Granted, on a workstation, compilation normally just involves a few files (the ones that have changed since the previous build and their dependencies), but when you have to do a full rebuild, it is fantastic to be able to do `make -j16` and watch it chug through 16 files simultaneously. Interestingly, the benchmark in this review shows that the 16-core 2950X compiles Chromium faster than the 32-core 2990WX, presumably this means something other than the thread count becomes a bottleneck after 16 threads or so.

What are the chances the next gen iPhone gets a L1/L5-capable GNSS chip? That'd arguably be one of the better features too. There's some speculation that Pixel 3 will get it (BCM47755).

I walk by this street corner every now and then, and was puzzled by this as well. It's quite different today, but the location is more or less on top of the National Theater railway station [1]. I think you are right about the lens making it look more curvy/steep, in this aerial photo from 1937 [2], you can tell it's just 180 degrees.

I think the idea is that it's supposed to hide the content until the page has loaded entirely, then fade it in, because it "looks faster". But if uMatrix (or something similar) blocks scripts from ampproject.org, you just get a nice 8s delay. I would love it if one day you could put a CMakeLists.xyz in the project instead, where xyz was just a slightly nicer syntax, but with the same semantics, and compatible with regular cmake. Tbh I'm not sure how I would want xyz to look though.
I've recently been reading Scott Meyers' Effective (Modern) C++ books. They are fantastic - can anyone recommend something similar for C? I.e. books that assume you're familiar with the language, but explains pitfalls and best practices in a practical way.
The time tracking thing actually resonated quite well with me. Where I work, we also track time on very specific items (with JIRA/Tempo, which even includes a "stop watch" on each issue).
How I dread logging the hours there! Especially if it's a day or two after the fact. The items will often be specific features to be developed. And so I sit there, with the time sheet (and 20/20 hindsight, of course) asking myself: "How could you possibly have spent that long finishing it? It had a low estimate! Better round down so they don't think I'm an idiot. Who in their right mind would pay someone XYZ to add a lowly checkbox in the corner? I wonder how many hours Bob logged for that radio button he worked on. Those guys outside have emptied half a street's garbage cans in the time it took me to look up this API."
Of course, it's probably mostly in one's head. Like the author I don't really get negative remarks on performance, and consider myself a reasonably decent developer. But even so, the task of painstakingly journaling every half hour worked seems incredibly demotivating sometimes, for presumably no other reason than being a great time to second-guess everything you did.
Quite common here in Norway as well, especially for cabins and holiday homes. Interestingly, as recently as 2012, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg ruled that landowners were allowed to change the terms of land leases when they came up for renewal, overruling the national supreme court [1]. Before that, they were obliged to offer the exact same terms, adjusted only for inflation.

While it certainly wasn't a rich nation in the first half of the 1900s, Norway in 1938 was actually the world's 4th biggest shipping nation, and owned 7% of the world's tonnage[1]. The forest industry was also significant (pretty interesting historical overview at [2]).

The "GPS 2.0" label used in the article is a bit of a misnomer I think, and possibly just something the author came up with. There is no radically new satellite navigation system described, just some rather superficial mentions of the need for alternative electronic navigation aids to augment satellite navigation (Loran, inertial sensors etc), which are not limited, or directly related, to GPS.
The closest thing to bear a "next gen" GPS label is the new block IIIA satellites, sometimes (officially) referred to as GPS III.
For civilian users, the most notable change in block III is that there will be a signal L2C available on the L2 frequency. With 2 frequencies, you can calculate ionospheric delay, resulting in better accuracy and resilience. Before this, L2 only carried the encrypted military Y code (but L2 could still be used for carrier phase tracking, so industrial non-military GNSS receivers could still make some use of it).
There will also eventually be an improved (backward-compatible) signal on the L1 frequency, and even a 3rd signal on L5. There fundamental system remains the same though, this is more of an evolution than a revolution. E.g, L2C is already available on some block II satellites. For military uses, there are some other interesting changes in block III, notably a new military signal M with a spot-beam antenna that can target a limited area, which is pretty cool.
Russia's GLONASS satellites evolve similarly, with the new 3rd gen K satellites getting more frequencies etc, and using CDMA just like GPS (previously the GLONASS signals used FDMA, i.e. each visible satellite used a different frequency slot). Galileo and BeiDou are also quite similar, but BeiDou is notable for using geostationary and inclined geostationary satellites in addition to regular medium earth orbit satellites (essentially to get improved coverage in Asia). A possibly interesting feature of Galileo is that there may be a "commercial service" signal, i.e. that non-navigational data may be broadcast via the Galileo satellites.
It's reminiscent of NDC 2012 (Norwegian Developer Conference), where also the event planning contractor arranged similar 'entertainment' (although more awkward than offensive, really), and Microsoft apologized afterwards [1].

Did you mean XPS13? I think it would be on par performance- and weight-wise with X1C. XPS15 is _significantly_ bulkier, but in return you get the i7 6700HQ (quad core). I believe the MBPs use the HQ CPUs as well, so we are talking a slightly different class of laptops..
I had ICL* surgery instead of LASIK, because the cornea was too thin. It has worked very well so far: I do get halos, but haven't had any other complications. The implants can also be removed or replaced.
