Unfortunately this is true. Around a year, or two years ago the WaPo (back before it was a total shill, yes it was still bad but... you know) had an article about how all the rhetoric from the far right in the US was almost, word for word, what was said a little more than 100 years ago. It was downright scary. Some part of the US has _always_ been that way. Maybe someone can find the article.

Everytime I see a trailer for an american film I feel like it's the same crap just re-hashed with different actors and the same plots over and over again. Give me something original. Something from Japan, Turkey, India, someone with a new idea. The Koreans? Yup, they push the boundaries of story telling. For example the School Nurse Files, that was either one of the best or the worse series I've ever seen. I'm still trying to figure it out. No way a Hollywood studio would take a risk like TSNF.

Yeah, I've tried switching the languages, not ALL the text on the page changes from the default language and I've tried not changing the lang. Same thing.

That's from an incognito window on Chrome
wow, ok. I definitely need this! This is my life now with French, Russian, German and whatever language of the moment I am messing around with.
However, it stills looks like it's tied to localhost? I get a web socket error (to localhost:8081) and when I type the name of the title into the search title. Nothing happens and the button doesn't look like I can click it (no highlighting)
It’ll be Cuba
Yes, who is taking bets? Gotta get money on the line.
Shocked. I'm truly shocked. Absolutely, completely and utterly shocked. Who woulda thought?
Yeah, I never got pulled into Hyperion but The Terror was.. something else. Just a masterpiece, and the TV series came nowhere near.
Nothing in France takes Discover, and my bank decided to go with Discover about 6 months ago. "Great" decision, thanks.
Look I already told you, I deal with the @#$% customers so the engineers don't have to. I have people skills! I am good at dealing with people, can't you understand that? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!
That definitely counts!
I have never heard of them, those are the mythical beings nobody has ever seen.
Cue my father-in-law.

Go for it. All that sounds like fun.
2. Almost three years in, companies investing in LLMs have not yet discovered a business model that justifies the massive expenditure of training and hosting them,
I always think back to how Bezos and Amazon were railed against for losing money for years. People thought that would never work. And then when he started selling stuff other than books? People I know were like: please, he's desperate.
Someone, somewhere will figure out how to make money off it - just not most people.
Non-sequitor.
Red herring.
Must be true!
Someone took a class (or two) on Arguments!
I’m autistic, but this won’t only affect autistic people. A lot of people are going to have problems with this. I hope there’s a very prominent way to turn it off.
How can that possibly be? Didn't he say it will: "bring joy and delight to _every_ user experience"
That means YOU as well. No way he could over-selling something. Inconceivable.
Yes, especially if you don't take care of your body and your mental health.
Leigh is fantastic, I would also recommend Shaila Catherine's book `The Jhanas: A Practical Guide to Deep Meditative States`
Well obviously the roads, the roads go without saying, don't they?
Much more fun than university seminars on Tolstoevsky, не так ли?
Только если вам не нравится Достоевский! Но мало кто может сравниться с Набоков.

I remember reading Ender's Game and being blown away by it when I was younger. Years later I picked up a new edition of it in a bookstore and read the back cover. The spoiler is right there. IMO that ruins the entire book if you know. I still can't believe the publishing house did that.
Douglas Crockford used to work there and several other JS programmers that were doing really interesting work. In a span of about 3 months they all left. I remember thinking WTH is going on there that they all bailed that quick?
The exodus of technical staff when she came aboard was astonishing. There was something definitely wrong with Yahoo back then .... wait, there's STILL something really wrong with them.
What this misses is that to keep the high going remove all breath holding. It just becomes continuous circular breathing — no holds, no pauses. This has been popularized by a lot of different people: Dan Brule, Leonard Orr, Binnie Dansby, Judith Kravitz. It comes under various names like: rebirthing, transformational breath and holotropic breathwork.
oh no.
Exactly what I thought it was as well.
