I agree. SSR that hydrates to an SPA is a pain in the butt and not necessary most of the time. This is why I favor something like Astro for websites... I can drop in a react embed when I need to. It's just a right-tool-for-the-right-job situation imo.
The problem is he's confidently wrong in believing Single Page Applications are about page transitions. Not at all. It's more about keeping state and an application-like experience. Like playing a song on spotify and changing to the search page and the song keeps playing... that type of thing.
I've been using Zed for half a year. Love the simple interface. I wanted a glorified notepad. Zed does well for me.

Blast from the past. I was a lead ColdFusion developer for almost a decade. Good times. When I rearchitected the booking engine for all of the Disney Parks, I based the design on Fusebox, a popular ColdFusion framework at the time. It's still in use today.
Real question: Could machine learning be used to identify these sites to a high degree of accuracy, with crowd sourced human moderation denying the false positives to help further train it?

I think this tech downturn is all a collusion amongst tech leaders to bring down software developer salaries. How are so many places hiring yet so many are laying off thousands, and most of them in tech/development? Even the places laying people off are still hiring those positions.

I can relate. I have 25 years of experience as a senior and lead frontend developer, with some management experience.
I've applied at over 80 roles. I've received 35ish rejections and about 18 interviews. 4 put me through to final interviews and chose someone else despite liking me more, I was told. (one person had a smidge of java experience, one was a female and they needed a diversity hire, etc)
Because something annoys you, it's destined to fail? I'm not following the logic.
Calculated risk. Sometimes destroying the evidence is less of a crime than being caught with it.

There's also a strong correlation between homeless people and parking garage density.
Housing prices are high where there are people. People are homeless where there are people. It comes with the territory. Throw in amazing weather and states bussing their homeless to CA and it becomes a very attractive proposition for someone without a home.
If there was a correlation then sending the homeless to Arkansas would solve the problem, but it wouldn't. They'd just be homeless in the woods.
I don't care anymore. Bus them out to the desert. Set up camp there. Provide food and busses into town for those with interviews and jobs. I really don't care, just get them out of the damn cities. I've seen too many people shit in the bushes or just peeing up against a building. Building tent cities on the beach and enjoyable areas, etc. I. Don't. Care. Get rid of them. I left California for this reason and housing costs.

It's not necessarily about getting help. For me, at least, it's about speed. It can look things up faster than I can. I can copy/paste/modify the results pretty quickly and every now and then it surprises me with a solution I hadn't thought of.
I also agree. I thought it was a joke. Once I got to the logos I was sure it was a joke.
...but you can use a mouse and keyboard with the iPad. And an external display.
It depends on what you're building. Choose the best tool for the job. Every time. Don't just default to your favorite.
