What am I missing? I have Windows 10 Pro on 2 computers I use daily, I have no crap games auto installing, I have no restarts other than when I select to, my computer never slows down "because windows things".
What are you guys experiencing that I am not?
If the formatting of a docx looks wrong in LibreOffice that's not really a big deal if you can still read the content, which is usually the case.
You sound like someone who never collaborated on an Office file with someone from another company.
If a company wants to be taken seriously, and some of their work involves exchanging and collaborating on presentations, text documents or tabular files, you cannot not use MS Office.
To be fair, isn't FED a private, non-federal company? :)

Which type of software you work with that exists solely on Mac and no other platform?
Well, for anything serious, paint is not good enough. You can't rotate your arrows, for example.
If i need to do something well, then I use Paint.net (which is best parts of Paint and Photoshop combined in a free and super fast package).
If I need something quick, then I can use the snipping tool.
I literally have not turned on paint ever since I discovered windows snipping tool and paint.net (which is couple of years now).
Please do so. Logging in with username (which has to be different than email) is sooooo 10 years ago. I can't remember all the usernames on all the hundreds of pages I visit. But I know which email I used to create every one of them!
You do realise that you could've just printed out the shortcuts and have them nearby for a week? It's enough to pick them up.
The problem with the touchbar is that it's not haptic, it moves your eyes from the screen and fingers from the keyboard.

I am dying to see something like this go to production. I absolutely love the functionality my pebble gives me, but I also would very much prefer to wear it as a proper watch, without it looking like a 10€ plastic toy :(

It's funny how developers who work under Windows (not even necessarily developing for Windows) are often not even considered real developers by the "pure" devs :)
Any chance of this being made/ported for Windows platform?
How common is this in Europe? For example, is relocating to another country something that might be a good reason for asking a signing bonus? How do companies see this?
Note I'm interested in experiences from Europe, I think that there's lots of hiring "cultural" differences between the continents...
You don't understand the concept of somewhat longer units of length than those you are used to?
Often it's not the problem of it not working well, it's the issue of UX. Mouse and keyboard are miles away from controller.
And these days they mostly don't even bother to do anything...
You can rename the search engine abbreviations as you like.
I have "w" for wikipedia, "y" for youtube, "gm" for google maps, etc...
This is THE feature of Chrome that I use constantly every day. It saves 5-10 seconds on each search you do every day. It adds up.
