This looks great! So glad the output is MJML. I will have to see how I can embed it in the project I am working on as I have been wanting to add the feature for clients to build out their own emails or customize some of the standard templates. It will at least be a big help in my own admin UI to start.

Can browse repositories but looking at an individual file is showing a unicorn. Other parts are slow to load.

Poked around the code a little bit, it doesn't seem that it is intended to be able to drop into another project and then use as a custom form builder for that project. Any plans for something like this? A lot of the infrastructure and framework (next/js) seem heavily built into the codebase. I would have to use supabase?

Any plans to support multiple channels? (SMS, push, etc) And are you in the long run looking to compete with Braze, Airship, etc?

I will have to give this article a more full read rather than just a skim, but...

I am left with such confusion as to how React/Next arrived at this solution. `useEffect` didn't run on the server when doing SSR, great, easy enough to understand. Now several common hooks don't run on the server because they are considered interactive? And it isn't that they won't run, their initial pass in most cases doesn't do anything, it is that Next now yells at you for having a `useState` hook in a "Server Component".

I would like to write a component, not have to think about where it is running in most cases, and go on with my day. I mostly use React for large SPAs and have adopted Next for doing SSR on the few pages that I needed it for (SEO, etc).

Agreed! Even after getting used to it a little bit, really hard.

I am always intrigued when I come across an article like this, after having done 2+ years of React development, and have never seen these patterns (Provider Pattern), nor seen them debated (Render Props). I do pay attention to the community here and there, and constantly poke around open source react libraries.

I tend to bring in patterns from iOS development, such as Delegates, especially when using React Native, and is really useful when using Flow or TypeScript.

We heavily rely on the Material-UI library (https://material-ui-next.com/) and have brought a lot of their patterns into our libraries, mostly how reusable components are composed.

2. Don’t fight the SDK / tools

I see this quite a bit in projects where devs haven't taken the time to understand the SDK and tools/patterns provided by Apple. The biggest one I see blundered quite often is the delegate pattern in favor of an event/subscription system.

I don't have a link to a good example but I have used https://github.com/Swinject/Swinject in the past and it really helps get the job done. You can over do it a bit though as with anything.
