For 7 years i have been searching for the perfect phone but everytime the phones grow bigger and more touchy. Maybe a gameboy styled modular phone could do the needful,but the touch phone era has dashed all my dreams of having a compact phone with tactile keys. Hopefully the the next year will be better

I wonder if there is a link between life originating from the sea and the ability of using our hearing as the main sensory organ to detect other objects.

And maybe we over relied on some senses and made an education system which relied on certain sense organs more than other senses. But talking about Smartphones,we may be coming to a full circle with Voice assisted AI is gaining ground.

A lot of issues would be solved if multiple such cities covered a state,however if there will be only a few such beautiful cities then expect the crowd coming in all the time and once the momemtum picks up the city will expand. And controlling the crowd can be a nightmare. But it can be achieved. Adding a low carbon footprint methods like solar cookers,urban forests(dont mind the insects) may help also. The concern with such an idea has been scaling up in a sustainable manner,almost every ideal city has ruined because of the population boom

Keep up your good job people, I hope to pickup coding from where i left. I remember the good old days of basic and logo,They were fun to start programming with.

I teach in places where there is almost zero education, heavy child trafficking.As i learn from HN, I try to teach them to kids(Remember that calculus made easy book? or those fun reads) They enjoy the true essence of learning and discovering the world from their own eyes.

I hope that someday these kids will become self learners and help other kids do the same. Even learning how to send an SOS signal from a phone can be a lifesaver for these kids.

That day is still far off but it is possible.And believe me,Kids are super smart and I am sure that my students will change their lives on their own. All i can do is give them that offbeat motivation.

Understanding speed or how the shapes and shadows work outside.. I believe education lies beyond the walls of a classroom.

One anecdote: i once taught kids multiplication and speed with walking and running as the base exercises... They understood in no time, of course tech could have helped making it easier but there is hardly any tech which the children conceptualise,would be great though

One of the most permanent and time tested ways of storing data is etching it on a stone... Its storage time basically may be upto millions of years...I actually wont mind storing some essential data on steel disks or paper (both compressed and noncompressed will do)

I am working on restarting tech from the ground up in rural places. It always amazes me on how phones get so easily addictive but hardly have much utility values.Like recording the environmental changes or just simple information dissipation to their peers would do wonders to help them. This may be a shot in the dark but try looking for doctors who interact and are cheerful(to their patients). The referral thing between the patients is very strong so more patients will come and will feel good which works as a catalyst(Both the parties will have a good amount of dopamine flowing). And eventually the variety and number of patients will increase and so the doctor will have more practice and become better!

In the far off rural areas where connectivity is almost nil,The doctors rarely go to the hospitals and the doctor's assistant does more work,becoming at par with the doctors in a few years.

Solar energy may not be available so charging points have to be something like a bicycle modifiable to a tent(Maybe mod the tyres into wind energy devices and a fan). More single board computers with outernet(?) plugged in. It will be interesting to see how peer to peer networks

I travel regularly to tribal places! Some of them dont have electricity and they sleep at around 8pm and wake up early at 5 am. But the people who go to cities and come back sleep really late! The shift has been very dramatic and the more technology is adopted there seems to be an increase in discontent in an otherwise peaceful life.

On a side note: Earlier the tribals used to negotiate when there was a fight or crime,But once the police station opened the people seem to netgotiate less and use a third party to resolve the issue

There is something interesting happening with the kids these days, They are being handed over tablet devices as soon as possible. My concern rises from the hand movements which is in a swipe , How Does this restriction of movement in the formative years affect the child in the later years?

There is still a huge population which wants basic phones as a backup atleast. There are places in india where electricity is not so easy to get and the monthly salary is still under 100$ The senior citizens even though have migrated to smartphones stil are in the dire need of a durable small phone.
