Building a developer marketing agency. No, I'm not doing anything evil, moreover, I'm trying to do things that actually make sense for devs and founders.
I’ve been sexually assaulted on the job (which was sort of my mistake; this was the one guy who I thought I’d screened but actually hadn’t, and if I’d screened him I would have not met him)
No it wasn't your mistake. It hurts me to see that people who have been through trauma blame themselves for it.
I think that developers can safely migrate to communities such as Hashnode instead of wasting their time scrolling through numerous groups on Facebook. All the features are already there without the tracking system in place.
Hashnode is a friendly and inclusive community for software developers. Unlike other Q&A networks, we encourage subjective and opinion based questions and want developers to express themselves. The broader goal is to help software engineers develop new skills, stay relevant and connected.
Moved to another city to change my career and get a really nice job.
After 2 years of living there, moved once again to get an even better job and double my salary. I also learned where to draw a line in the sand in that first company. Working for an international company - and being paid minimum wage, noup, won't allow that to happen to me ever again.
Afterwards, I realized I loved living in the first city, found a remote job and moved back.
