I think it would be reasonable for the typical person to believe that when you click a button labeled "buy", you are buying the item, not renting it.
Don't defend theft/fraud based for billion dollar corporations. It's not a good look.
No one in law enforcement is trying to help you. That's not what it's for.
This is true in the same sense you don't need to own a pair of shoes.
Technically, sure, but there are jobs that require you to have a phone (at many different career points too), colleges that expect it, and more. And while there may be workarounds, they are often workarounds at someone else's expense, such as asking someone else to check the class schedule or work schedule.
So yes. You don't need to own a smart phone. And you don't need to own shoes. Both will get you (understandable) looks from general society. Both will limit what you can do. Both are somewhat understandable as having become a default, expected thing that people WILL have.
The feds don't own state IDs in the US, at least.
And arresting the users solves none of that. Maybe it hides it from casual observers, but if you actually want to help people, treatment programs and assistance, not cops, are what you need.
8 years ago I bought a house. My monthly rent was 1300 and mortgage/escrow/repair savings were instead 2000. Rent went up $100-$200 a year.
My son is looking for rentals in our same community and the equivalent rental to what I had is now around $3000.
Even ignoring appreciation, in the long term there was a cash flow savings.
The issue is not that companies don't have the funds to chase these bugs (which will impact future trust/revenue), it's that they don't want to spend it chasing these bugs. Next quarter thinking leads to bad software.

The report includes notes on certain messages having durations set before they would disappear. This indicates intent.
A broad UBI plan would likely not have every single person's income going up by a known amount, either.
Most of the plans I've seen taper off and then become a tax at certain income levels.

Imprisonment is worse, being kicked out of university is also worse, but a company taking your money for a product and then banning you from use of that product without a reasonable (and inexpensive) appeals process is also evil (and imo should be illegal).
Our town has Installed several crosswalks with flashing lights in common crossing areas away from traffic lights. It feels many times safer.
It appears to have better blocking mechanics, so I don't know. The same content might exist there, but you won't see things that you filtered.
Switching to sending wrong, inexpensive data might be preferable to blocking them.

I have my own thought and also one in response to the "taking a photo" type tasks.
I'd like a drop down of some tasks I predefined, so I can answer with one of those.
Things like "answering a message" that I can choose instead of entering one. There is occasionally one message with 3 choices, I think, about how this aligns with my goals. So something like that but user defined.
Second thing, maybe a couple of those options could be tied to app launch so clicking it takes you to the common task. For example, "Taking a photo" could drop me right back into the camera app.
Great app, I've been using it all day and just doing so is insightful. And glad this comment chain led me to the "cooldown" function.
I reread the part about speakers 3 times and still don't understand. He says it has speakers but then implies it doesn't? I'm lost.
I don't disagree IF they make tooling available for reuse.

I have not yet done this. None of the code is complicated, however the setup is a bit (needs an asterisk server, a trunk with a voip provider, an openai account, a text to voice service).
The actual code is quite simple. It's all just glue on the above.

The typical app store workflow for me is I visit the store to download a specific app I'd like to install. That app will then have to download and install while I wait.
That "while I wait" is an ideal time to ask me to rate other recently installed apps, or an app I haven't used in a while.
A Ai bot that lives on a phone number. You can call the number to talk to it and ask it questions, however all of it's answers are sandwich related and it attempts to solve any problem presented using sandwiches.

All teachers should be well paid and well vetted. Teaching shouldn't be a self sacrifial social justice position, it should be an honored and well rewarded position.

If long shifts impact production quality (and they do) run shorter shifts.
No one will rent to you if your rent would be 80% of your income anyway.
