Thank you!

It really irked me when I read it the first time and it drives me nuts that no one else seems to catch this, you’re the first one in some 100 HN threads to point it out

I heard majority of the users are techies asking coding questions.

Citation needed? I can't sit on a bus without spotting some young person using ChatGPT

since 100% of people already agree that you should never be afraid to ask basic but obviously important questions.

You don’t have a great mental model of how most people think

A week ago, I was looking for the name of a semi obscure late 90ies computer game. Google could not help me given the description i gave

Described it to ChatGPT, and we had a back and forth where I explained why the games it suggested me weren’t right, it eventually found the correct game (Nocturne) and was able to explain to me that half of the things I remembered from the game were just plain wrong, and that’s why Google couldn’t find it

ChatGPT helping me with my hallucinations, go figure

Where they can't afford the medication, or no medication seems to work, or they have an addiction problem and there just isn't any way for them to get into a treatment program

I would consider two of these absolutely monstrous reasons to assist someone in killing themselves. A broken society opting into killing its citizens because it can’t be arsed with fixing itself is next level evil

where did you get the impression that i spend time hating people? I'm saying that you shouldn't normalise being a shitty person "because you have to be shitty to be great". There's tons of amazing artists that are generally known as being all around great people

(I'm not even referring to fat mike here, I have no idea if he's a good person or not)

And these robo-taxis will be worse than public transport

If you soil a waymo taxi, they can ban you from ever booking another one, the same cannot be said for public transport

While I consider this somewhat dystopian, I do think it's pretty clear that they will be much cleaner than public transport for that reason

One of my all-time favorite live bands (Along with GY!BE).

When you listen to HEY WHAT, you really wonder how it could ever work live. But seeing them on the tour, they somehow managed to make the recording pale in comparison.

The reason they have that problem is that their logic for funneling subscription revenue to streams is broken

Changing it to splitting out a users monthly payment to what they're actually listening to, would make the abuse they're trying to stop easier and not harder (as it would mean all the money they're trying to launder will go to the correct artist instead of just some of it)

Not saying that that's a good argument for the current system, but it wouldn't fix the issue they're trying to solve
