There was post made in recent weeks on the Gnome Accessibility blog about the work they'll doing over the next year. Sounds like it's being spearheaded by someone quite capable, with a strong vision:

I got an iPod last year and have been really enjoying what's possible with them. Using rockbox opens up a lot of features, especially usb file transfer and flac. I've gone so far as to make my own themes to build upon the old UI
It's the current government that is the major issue with the country right now. They're unpopular, figuratively and literally. In the last election, they got very few of the first votes, and they were only able to get into power with coalition of arguably the worst political parties in the country. They are well aware none of them will get into power next election, and are using their time in power to not only profit financially, but also ruin this country to sabotage any following government.
If you'd like a good example, the vast majority of the politicians in power are landlords or land owners. In recent years we have seen massive inflation in property prices and rent. There's been an erosion of protections agaisnt homelessness, and large payouts for landlords.
Leo Varadkar when in power was caught in broad daylight committing corruption. Giving confidential documents to a friend who owned a health clinic. The criminal investigation was brushed under a rug.
There's hope with a new goverment, it would likely be quite left leaning and many parties involved would be socialist of some form. But to be fair there are massive problems socially with Ireland, same with the Netherlands and in turn a lot of other European states.
It's really quite a shame how few options there are for buying music, especially with apple music no longer allowing to buy stuff. I recently got into Japanese classic city pop, and was surprised to find that there were several japanese sites that sold digital, drm free music still.

Do you have any write-up about your setup? I've been interested for a while in self hosting myself at home, but things like security and such are quite confusing and conflicting at times, I find.
Surprisingly not, you can easily transfer your followers and follows. Even your bookmarked posts can be saved and transferred. You do lose your old posts you've made, but in the grand scheme of things that's not the worst loss
Some software are hit and miss, or just fail to work on wine. Big one for a lot of people is the Affinity suite.
Reminds of Maths class in school when our teacher got us to try visualising and manipulating a 3D object in our mind. Very few were able to do it, which surprised me a lot.
I think the support has a lot to do with just how transparent Panic have been about the entire process. You can see a lot of people being able to emphasize with the human element behind the product and the company.
Organic Maps has been my go to maps since it came out. Fantastic navigation features, and felt no different than using Google Maps. The best part? It doesn't any internet connection to work!
And the acquisitions begin. It's clear they're ready to throw big money at making this "metaverse" a thing. They're probably trying to prove to their investors that they're comitted
I agree, while (at least in younger people) messenger is declining, Instagram is basically the only platform you can contact everyone you known on. They want to be the major player in virtual reality communication, VR Chat for the masses. While incorporating large scale advertising into the pitch
That and questioning her experiences with sexism at Apple. I see people claiming to work for Apple having a go at her too, which I'm guessing are male.
Can't this be said for any profession that creates for an organisation? I'm studying design currently, when I enter the workforce I will be a tool in a system ran by others. I've seen many people say this in different ways: when you pick a career you really have to think to yourself if the annoying or "bad" parts are something you can handle
I think one possible downside is the amount of major datacenters in such a small space. It's about 7 or 8? And you've got Facebook, Amazon, Google the likes. Recently there was almost a blackout in the city cause the grid just couldn't handle it after we got rid of the peat burning power stations
Heck, I know they're hybrids but just look formula one. The total emissions of every car, from all sessions at every single race in a year combined produce less emissions than a one way flight from London to New York. Which is then completed negated by the fact that the drivers all take private jets around the world
I live in Ireland. A while after GDPR came into effect, I went about deleted a Microsoft account I didn't use anymore. Deleted it on the site, contacted support to request all data be wiped. Done. About 3 years later I get an email that it was accessed and they disabled it for illegal activity. Deleted it in the site, contacted support to request all data be wiped. Honestly think it's more worthwhile to just change the account info to garbage and leave it
I'll be curious as well once this makes it's way to haveibeenpwned. Requested for it to be deleted and forgotten few years back, wont be the first time an account of mine has been "deleted" to then miraculously be hacked or caught up in a leak
It clashes heavily with the container tabs add on as well. The new UI adds a coloured bar on top of a container tab, which I always mistake as an open tab since it's far more visible than the actual open tab indicator

Personally quite looking forward to what people make with it, the pico8 community really went to town with games and concepts
They tried several times but were turned down. They started blocking it around that time.
