Why include Grok when it is clearly not even in the same category as the other three?

And the published and non-published works of mankind but no one seems to want to give us any credit.
Before you come and say something like Trump threatening to invade Greenland and annex Canada is just bluster/ these are democracies that answer to their people, and their people are mad about that, which is going to direct policy. The sentiment in those countries about the US is on par with those on Russia and China, if you think that is not to the US detriment I’m not sure what to say.
Also, not having to deal with the kind of assholes that are capable of both setting up and maintaining your physical infrastructure and are willing to travel on a moments notice to put out fires. Worth the price of AWS just to not have that dysfunctional lot to deal with.
US tech helped the US administration get there, and instead of speaking up, gives it gold trinkets for special favors.
Give your data to just one more service
Why not? This is the tier that AI would replace best
Maybe you can point me to a recent example in the US where more housing was built resulting in a noticeable decrease in housing costs. And a good investment is one where the value increases faster than inflation, the math doesn’t work.
I agree that is a necessary component.
I really hate this “we don’t build enough housing” narrative these days, because it implies this is a simple supply and demand problem, which it is not. I see so many progressives repeating this line, apparently not understanding that they are suggesting unfettered capitalism (up zoning…) is the solution.
The fundamental problem is we simultaneously want our housing to be affordable and good investment. It can’t be both.
The article says each user is associated with a single DC, and if that DC is down the user has no service. You kind of have to conclude from that the users data is not replicated across sites or there is some other architectural issue causing this. And they do have paid tiers.
But it is not uncensored it is just differently censored
It’s a shame that their leader exfiltrated government data.
David was a good vs evil with an order of magnitude fewer resources on the good side. XAi is evil vs evil with comparable resources on each side. Now this is where I know you’re MAGA because as I’ve said a million times you guys don’t do fair comparisons.
Three roads actually, figure that out
A fee based service without site redundancy for one?
There is a limit to how much of that the US can do without causing self inflicted damage.
I have a lot of coworkers in civilized countries, they seem to get made redundant too. Sometimes they go on garden leave for a while first but the end result is the same.
"A Little Bit of Knowledge"
There is an interesting episode of This American Life about how everyone, everyone, has weird gaps in their knowledge that eventually get filled in sometimes fun or humiliating ways. You have these too.
Rowing across the Pacific Ocean faster than anyone has ever done it is some pretty good PR on its own!
Cool. It would be a neat feature if it had a mirror mode, showed you what your screen is pointing at instead of the front of your phone.
Libertarian fever dream.
I'll also use AI to revive your 2001 college band, no you needed!
If we reach the and, then they can no longer demand the price
The focus wasn’t making the world a better place, or even to provide any value at all to its /users/, who are not its customers. The focus it was and is making money and to take this essay at face value, nothing else. Nothing wrong with making money - honestly.
Focus, or, Where Humanity Went Wrong. Imagine being proud of this essay.
If you don’t like the license just let an LLM spend a few days “porting” it and give that port any license you like because that is apparently what we do now.
You sure about that? Maybe it is reality hitting expectations after the initial “holy shit” wears off
No we don’t.
