i am a developer who got fed up with losing track of health records across apps, portals and paper. medical data is everywhere but nowhere at once making doctor visits a pain and causing repeated tests.

so i built a tool that lets you snap photos of your reports, encrypts them so only you can read them and organizes everything in one place. no central servers can see your data and you control who gets access and when.

it is simple, secure, and built from the ground up with privacy in mind. if you have struggled with fragmented health records, i would love to hear your thoughts or questions.

I am Kibru, a software engineer. So I built hirebestfit, a web app for job hunters and businesses that need the best and most complete HR suite software. It's newly launched (literally 3 days ago). My aim is to make job openings transparent for both candidates and businesses. I am sure you have received many vague, generic, obscure, and impersonal rejection letters after applying for a job. It sucks. On hirebestfit, before you apply for a position, there is a “Pre-alert” that tells applicants some metrics about the job opening. Of course, there is no outright application blocking—you can apply as much as you want—but both businesses and applicants are transparent about the hiring process.

On hirebestfit, job post searches are entirely semantic; you don't have to search with keywords or terms. You find what you actually mean, not just what you type.

here are what you get from hirebestfit: - Post jobs quickly - Track all job applicants with applicant tracking system (ATS) - integrated calendar - Schedule interviews easily - Video call with candidates, a custom-built video conferencing (similar to Zoom or Google Meet, but fully integrated with the in-app calendar) - Sign contracts online (encrypted e-document sign, coming soon) - Email candidates directly - Find the best matches - See hiring performance - personnel account and management

I have tons of ideas I am working on. E.g “Pre-alert” system & Reasonable ground for rejection (still have not released them, but will soon).

An idea for this app has been in the back of my mind for a long time. It all started when I downloaded various receipt/invoice/bank statement scanners and expense tracking applications from the app store. While they somewhat worked, they often missed the currency or incorrectly extracted data from pictures. After checking the reviews, I noticed many users were dissatisfied with these apps.

As a software engineer, I thought, "Why not build a better one?" Before diving into development, I reached out to users who left 1 or 2-star reviews on similar apps. I asked what frustrated them most, and some replied to my cold emails, sharing their pain points.

That's how Spendtally.com was born. It's an app that allows you to take pictures of receipts and invoices, then automatically extracts and organizes your expenses. But Spendtally isn't just about receipt scanning and organizing. I'm building two more beneficial features: finding you the best deals and suggesting healthier options.

Core Benefits you get: Receipt Scanning and Expense Organization: Upload pictures of your receipts and invoices, and Spendtally does all the extracting and organizing for you.

Best Deal Finder: Say you frequently shop at Walmart, and 8oz of cheese costs you $2.96. Spendtally knows your grocery history and will check stores in your area to see if the same product is available at a better price. For example, Target might have the same quality product for less.

Healthier Option Suggestions: If you frequently consume chips, which aren't the healthiest choice, Spendtally might suggest "Mixed Nuts" as a better and healthier alternative.

These advanced features are currently in the alpha stage, and I'm working on polishing them before releasing them into production.

The application is completely free for general users.

Telegram bot integration: If you're a Telegram user, you can connect your account with Spendtally and send pictures directly through the messaging app without logging into the website.

Spending insights: Get detailed information on your spending habits, including what you spent the most on, year-over-year expense comparisons, and unusual spending patterns.

Future plans include releasing both Android and iOS apps.

For Paid Users: Stitch Pictures together, if the receipt does not fit into one picture you can take many pictures and send them as one receipt, this way it will be counted as a single receipt.

I came across a tweet from Daniel Vassallo (@dvassallo) about how he gets blood tests done every few months but is left with PDFs that do not tell him much. He asked if there was an easy way to aggregate this info and see changes over time. I asked if he would pay for such a tool, and he said yes, if it is good.

That is when I realized people actually need this. So, I am building HealthTestLog. You upload your medical PDFs, and the system organizes them and shows how things are changing over time. The core features are already out at healthtestlog.com. I am adding analytics for personalized recommendations and predictive health insights. Privacy is the top priority. Every data point (except some meta-data like id of a row) is encrypted on the server. Thanks folks, I just wanted to put it out there. Ideas, criticism all welcome.
