I've played World of Warcraft since the first Beta and it's been a great ride, at least up until the last expansion. The news of Microsoft's acquisition has me hopeful for great new MMORPG.

Here's my recipe, adapted from numerous others found on YouTube:

1: Cut one red onion along the grain to minimize cell damage, 2: Simmer the onion slices in water a few minutes to soften them, 3: Put the slices into a 16oz mason jar, 4: Fill the jar half with white vinegar and half with water, 5: Add a pinch or two of Diamond Crystal salt and a pinch or two of cane sugar. 6: Refrigerate overnight.

The onions turn a beautiful shade of pink as they age and they can last for weeks without going bad.

If you like PB and Pickle, then you should definitely try PB and pickled red onions. It's surprisingly good.

Modern-day NYT crosswords are much more like the "British" crosswords described in the article in that they are are often chock-full of clever, cryptic clues.

Shortly after I moved into my current place, I wanted to switch to the most basic copper-based landline service available, and I had to work through a series of six service reps and managers before someone would even acknowledge that such a plan was available. This seems super helpful when swarming compared to squeezing everyone on the team into one office. Will collaborators all be required to be running admin level accounts? That might be a problem in shops (mine!) where admin access is rarely granted to devs.

I concur. I think it would be a great option if users could specify the granularity of time they wanted to see. I'd probably set mine to 30 minutes.

Newer versions of Excel will warn the user of possible file corruption if they try to open an .html file that has been renamed to .xls. The file can still be opened but the warning is bothersome.

I've heard this described as focused vs diffuse mode thinking. Focus on a problem for some time then move on to something else to allow the diffuse mode to continue the work.

I don't see how elections themselves aren't term limits. You want to end someone's reign, vote them out. Am I missing something?
