Awesome! Thanks for the detailed answer :)
Sounds promising! I'll have a closer look and likely give it a shot soon-ish.

Hey! Saw it last week...I have a few questions for you :)
- How does it compare to GlitchTip, for instance? - Is it "feature complete" / production-ready? - Are you using it some prod projects yet?
It seems to be mostly a one-band, so curious about your current production usage, and dedication to it :)
Dates are must. They don't need to be big and bold, just to be there, somewhere. When I read a blog post, I need that information for context. It is especially true for technical blog posts. Was it written before version X? What was the context this was written in? Date helps.
I am not using ecrire, but I see a bunch of reasons to use that over Ghost, but it depends on each user's use cases. For me, first, Ghost is in Node. I prefer my stuff to be in Ruby, especially if I want to change stuff and/or contribute. That said, if it does not fit your needs...
Side note: I was deceived by Ghost. I was expecting their dashboard to be there on version one, but after a whole bunch of commits and a few months, with money, it is still not there. Anyways, no big deal! :)
Fair enough. Just thought I might have missed something new and big! :)
Is passenger the most popular? Is there any reliable statistics available somewhere?
Just keep in mind your code (and gem's code) needs to be thread safe.
Out of curiosity, why today?
I mean, this is not new at all, there is no major version that was released AFAIK...
This is great to share that though, just curious why it's on HN today? :)
Edit: typo fix.
Awesome one! :)
The library was already existing, changing name and namespace for a mascot would probably not make sense ;)
I have been using octokit for a while now and it is by far the best wrapper around for Ruby. Just make sense to have it official now that Wynn Netherland is working @ GitHub.
Hahaha, awesome! Made me laugh out loud, alone, in my home office! :)
This is not french ;)
Exactly! As simple as that! This is why we are always (almost) excluded from any contests :)
I live in Quebec and worked in big organizations, even public ones like the Governement and a city, and never ever heard that. Source please?
Nice post, thanks!
I recently started to play with Ember on a Rails 4 app for fun. On the other hand, we are moving right now at my job to a more API-style Rails app too, but with Backbone (soon)...
You might be interested in looking at http://emblemjs.com/ at some point. :)
There is a win with MRI too, though there is a much bigger win with JRuby or Rubinius :)
I guess there would be some serious benefits for uses with Puma too!
Wow, I read 'Ember.js'...:)
Awesome design, comprehensive (and cheap) pricing...interesting!
Disclaimer: English is not my primary language.
I completely disagree, Github.com should NOT be localized.
I agree that making sure your language doesn't disappear is important, but it has nothing to do with Github. It is your job on a day to day basis.
Having localized versions might lead to messy projects having multiple languages in issues and everywhere. It will not help the open source community as a whole but dilute it. It may be sad, but English is the language of IT and I think it will just lead to a wider and better community to all talk a single language, whatever it is.
Plus, managing multiple locales in an app just sucks, it will lead to problems, they would have less time to work on feature which is the point.
Maybe a localized version of Github Enterprise would make sense, but certainly not Github.com.
Not sure to understand why I was downvoted here...?
I would be curious to see how Ouya will fit in there, yes Android is supported, but at what point will Ouya be supported or not by Unity 4?
Best "Getting Started", EVER!
"GETTING STARTED
Eat a hearty breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!"
"if it will"
I wonder if will affect Geocoding limits too?
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/geocoding/#...
Is code available on Github?
This seems really promising at first. Would love to try it soon but it really needs a public repo. English documentation would be a great plus too! :)
This is some great news! I hope that will make Ruby and CoffeeScript support come sooner! :)
Is this something you need to have in some of your Rails project? Maybe you'll need a blog + a e-commerce framework like Spree? If yes, what are the features you are looking at?
Switched to Pry and probably will not look back in a near future...am I missing something here?
