In the long run, python projects just became an unmaintainable mess, and now lots of devs moved on or use python less. At least in my experience.

it's a perceived must. when running "all season" tires year round the AWD inspires more confidence, and most people don't even know winter tires are a thing. Plus 4x4 only helps you start moving, but once you are, every car still only has 2 wheels to turn and 4 to stop, which are quite possibly more crucial in snow....

No, the cardio/fitness aspect of soccer absolutely cannot be overlooked, especially at the top levels where players are at the margin and need that edge, and where the amount of competition and pay and global attention is two orders of magnitude higher than cycling. And you got shit like EPO which basically erases recovery time, but you'll never catch unless you test daily.

Everyone knew about LOTR and read the books before the movies came out. It was in no way some obscure out of print lit, it was both pop and a cult classic, and it was very much front and center of any must read fantasy bookshelf. Hence the wildly profitable movies.

drivers that enjoy manuals have always been around. We’re just louder now because they almost don't make cars with manuals anymore, so when one does come along we rejoice.

this was always a key point from people who drove automatics but claimed to like manuals. i daily drove a manual in some of the worst traffic the US has to offer. but so what, guess what else sucks in traffic? Automatics!! when you're stuck in traffic, everything sucks, so you might as well drive something thats enjoyable the rest of the time.

their quality went way downhill and they shipped production overseas. I would love to have a nice bialetti moka express or a stainless version. i bought one probs 8 or 9 yrs ago, and it wasn't long before the tin lining separated, and the overall quality was crap. nothing like my mothers or any others I had used when i was introduced to them in italy. so i bought an alessi stainless steel made in italy pot at like 5x the price, and never looked back. but do i think a well built bialetti would be as good or better, they just dont make them well anymore…

yeah insect screens are pretty ubiquitous in the US. Also any home ive been in that was built in the 80s or earlier seemed to have a whole house fan, or at least be setup much better for airflow. Such building features seemed to be lost since AC became the norm and not the exception.

yeah i think a lot of people world be surprised by how many people use botox. i know of people who host botox parties, and they sell/inject all their friends as a side hustle to working in healthcare.

correct, but also for me, much of the usefulness of youtube is for looking up how to do something quick. This has been ruined by google emphasizing longer vids to up the “engagement” aka add time… and so now all of youtube has become the video equivalent of a recipe site…
