This is refreshing to hear. For a while it seemed like Apple was clamping down on things like employees organizing and requesting remote work on Slack earlier in the pandemic.
To me, a commercial is something that advertises something I'm not watching and prevents me from watching what I want to. A non-skippable trailer for a movie is a commercial, for instance.
Autoplaying content is the advertising of something you were not watching (if you wanted to watch something you would have selected it) and prevents you from watching what you wanted to (again, you wanted to watch nothing, otherwise you would have selected something).
Do you have any evidence from your media diet? I see recent articles over the past year that it isn't successful in diversifying.
The point being made is that finance is far more exclusionary and racist/sexist than tech, but tech gets all the articles written about it. The onus would be on those with power to change hiring in finance, much like the big tech companies are tasked with making tech more inclusive.
What services are you using that have no commercials? I would definitely consider Netflix auto-playing content by default a type of commercial.

You don't see narratives about how everyone should get into finance. That is certainly a good ol boys club.

Trump wasn't some random person though--he had a huge financial and social network before he became notorious in politics on Twitter. It does not follow that every influencer starts out as a random person at all.
This lack of transparency, public oversight, and engagement seems to be a trend. I would love to hear how other cities have managed to steer their elected officials into community oversight. Financial influence cannot be the only option.

Wouldn't it make sense then to marry someone with a similar socioeconomic status? Or if divorce is skewed against men, only pursue women who make more than you?
Marriage as legal entity was created as a result of women being more or less their father's property.
Activism on these issues get stamped out by the wealthy. Look at what happened to Bernie and Occupy Wall Street.

You have a point--just because Rush's music is technically sound, that does not mean it is good music.
There is a certain amount of cognitive dissonance experienced when you read that the companies you frequently patronize (Microsoft, Facebook, and Apple for the majority of the tech world) are doing nefarious things. We would just rather not hear them than deal with that guilt.
The annual cost cited earlier is not referring to COVID pods, so I would like evidence that the cost is comparable long-term.

You're hung up on the wrong part. Tell me more about how the phrase "locally sourcing your sex needs from the nearest supplier" isn't creepy.
Maybe creepy is not the right word, but it seems like something you would do if you lack social skills. Also, "supporting local sex work" is already a thing. They are called brothels or strip clubs.

How long were they in California before they became homeless? If they were living in a center for transients or were on a couch for a year before being homeless (but were relatively destitute in Nevada prior to this), then the data absolutely supports it.
