Hey hackers! I'm on the Iteratively team - we're super excited to be improving the analytics story for developers.

I've personally implemented Google Analytics, MixPanel, Amplitude, and some other event analytics libraries. It always felt a bit weird to call a totally un-typed analytics api from TypeScript/Kotlin/etc. Iteratively code-gens a typed analytics SDK, so analytics gets type-checked at dev-time.

Confirming I can't even get the home page to load from the UK, Hungarian colleagues aren't having any issues

Unfortunately those are the official icons - they don't provide SVGs or higher res images through their brand guidelines. I wasn't sure if it'd be worth finding copies of them elsewhere.

I think the most important thing to bare in mind is the "Sunk Cost Fallacy" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunk_cost#Loss_aversion_and_th...)

Don't make your decision based on what you've already done/paid. Make your decision based only on looking forward. Try considering: - What's my goal? (Make a family, take over the world, have a masters) - What actions get me toward my goal most efficiently? (Start making money, steal the moon, keep head down)

At the end of the day, it's a highly personal and contextual decision.

If you do decide to drop out, it'd be worth talking to staff about ways to keep credit for things you have already done - perhaps in a few years you could finish your course with Open University?

This year I'm committed to launching 12 projects in 12 months. For January, I took a couple of days out and built API Console

https://apiconsole.io/

NOTE: the website was "heavily inspired by" (copied from) ZeroNet.io - I built the whole thing in 2 days, didn't have time to make my own.

The aim is to have it making some money, but I'd really appreciate any feedback on the copy, pitching, etc. Copy is NOT my strong point (though I'm learning).

Any feedback is welcome, but I'd primarily appreciate the following: - Framing/Pitching of the product - Copy - Product/idea itself - Should I continue developing it before I get email addresses?

I find a lot that being around people helps. Go to a hack space (e.g. https://www.meetup.com/HackWimbledon/) or spend and evening with a friend who's working on their own side project. My biggest problem when working on side projects is that Netflix is only a few keypresses away, so if you put yourself in a situation where those distractions are impossible, it really helps focus and makes the best use of your limited time.

"No lines" I'm just imagining a huge group of people standing by the door waiting to download the app so they can buy eggs.
