Feedback wouldn't necessarily be very useful. The feedback might be a meaningless number such as '42' in the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy Deep Thought (which doesn't really explain the result of the question).

Ycombinator has been known to make mistakes from time to time. Especially youos.

There's probably too many rejections to give any feedback. I mean if there were 10,000 to 20,000 groups that applied it would be impossible to send a reason in the email to each group. Besides it all comes down to a numerical rating (sauce for the goose). Kudos to the bird with a golden egg.

Don't sweat the rejection. It's probably very difficult to get accepted to ycombinator. The odds are probably better winning a royal flush or x... than getting accepted to ycombinator. Cudos for the three strikes law....

A patent company Geomas that claims to own location-based search is sewing Verizon. By the way he raised 20 million or so he claims.

This is partly why I can't understand my rejection. Google is looking for Crazy ideas.

The problem isn't when you have an idea and get rejected it's when you have a really good idea and still get rejected.

That's when it hurts.

They looked at my demo. I still got rejected thought. A better question is how many demos they looked at that still got rejected.

A University should provide support in nurturing the invention process or providing patent and invention support.

Actually one thing I would look for is something like the WARF program at university of wisconsin.

I think what you want from a University is a place that help you with your invention. If you have an idea they can help you get a patent (Unlike Andrews) and then you as the inventor can share some of the profit. Not all Universities do that and this is the one thing I would emphasize from a University. This can also help you establish a better record for jobs or startups.
