That's still fairly far-fetched science fiction, but it's pretty interesting to think about... :)

There's definitely a question of who is responsible for the actions of an LLM. Obviously an algorithm cannot be culpable for what it does, so is it the company that produced it, the human driving it, somebody else? If there can't be human accountability, then these systems shouldn't be given these capabilities.

For extra immersion, the agent should also stop responding for 5-10 minutes while it goes on its smoke break, forcing the human to also go for a smoke break. We can destroy our lungs together!

I don't know how they're measuring productivity for customer support, but it certainly isn't in terms of customer satisfaction. People have never been happy with chatbots when they're trying to reach a human.

When my sciatica flared up several months ago, I was in the ER for several hours just because there were much more severe cases ahead of me, which makes perfect sense. I got xrayed that day, bloodwork, among other shit.

I could go on and on, but these cases aren't outliers for us, they're the norm.

Sure, on the realms or whatever they're called or whatever servers Microsoft do operate, fair game and good idea. But if I'm running a Minecraft server on my homelab it should be my decision what behaviour is acceptable within that server.

I'm not an expert on the matter, but to my knowledge Samsung aren't health practitioners and aren't beholden to HIPAA laws for data that was (presumably) voluntarily provided to them. Is this scummy? Abso-fucking-lutely. But as far as I'm aware they have a lot of freedom when it comes with data collected with permission from users. Obviously this is something that should be addressed/regulated.

The content children in Asia are exposed to seems to be entirely different in nature. For instance, with Tiktok: it intentionally pushes brainrot content for western users, while in China it pushes educational and in general positive content. Speaking only from what I've read on the subject, and I'm entirely willing to accept that I'm wrong about that, but the point remains that the screens aren't the issue, it's the content on them that is.
