Whoa! You don't know where they are from. Given time zones, it's likely they are from Europe

I try to be kind, honest, and fair. Sometimes, I can get a bit riled up by comments. I am sorry if I say something rude or snarky.
FWIW, it works great in Firefox focus on an iPhone 16 Pro.
Having made training videos, doing a voice recording is a huge pain in the ass. So easy to flub and have to edit or re-record. Hard to maintain even pace. I haven't tried AI generated voices, but doing it manually is difficult.
I console myself that this is why I never got fabulously wealthy. That brilliance is no guarantee of wealth. You need luck, too.
But the truth is, you also need to do the work. I used my conclusion about luck as an excuse to not even try. Not even in some grand way. Just in the grinding everyday way. In the way of, "You know what I should do?! I should ... meh. That'll never work."
Take it from me, kids. If you want to do something great, do it while you are still young enough to believe it's possible.
Yes! This is how you do humor. Demand precision. Dissect all the things!
No. If a site doesn't want to comply with the state, they can geoblock. That's what pornhub does.
Zinn & the Art of Road Bike Maintenance, if you are looking for a solid resource.
Every tech company building out datacenters would pay in a heartbeat to add commensurate power to the grid. The cost is not an objection.
Yeah. I'm going to need a source on this claim.
Do you believe the example given was evil? I believe they are wrong not evil. That's what I mean that I will not be a cynic.
You mean like how you wrote "anti-White" and "black"? Ignorance and strong opinions is a bad combination.
In all cases where I was presented with an unreasonable non-compete, I either negotiated it away or scratched it out before signing. I know not everyone has that luxury, but if your BATNA is signing, it's worth a shot.
I use Firefox Focus on mobile which blocks ads automatically. This was a cool site, so I thought it only fair to visit it with ads permitted.
My god. I didn't even know autoplaying, unmuted ad videos are a thing.
Do you really not understand the difference between the one you cited and the one to which I was responding?
The one to which I was responding was capricious. The one you cited has reasoning, even if you disagree with it.
And that was the whole point of my comment. That by reducing the other side to a farcical strawman, you diminish your own argument. It just becomes a yelling match.
I would rather debate the person you cited than sit complacently with the cynic to whom I responded.
Amazing! I just wish there was a way to eliminate the text boxes.
But do they really? Can you point a real, evil villain saying that?
But if you do a shoulder check, the car will beep for tacking your eyes off the road!
Third base!
Get enough numbers, accept wide error bars, and some of them are going to overlap.
In that case, I appreciate your comment here! Not sure it was worth 10 hours, but it was good of you to share.
Of course Alito and Thomas would have allowed the government unlimited power. I am bit surprised to see Barret in the minority of this one.
That's what GP is asking, except without the unhelpful sarcasm.
Calls to mind one of my favorite Simpsons moments.
While your point is valid, I think you are missing the point of the article.
The point was that someone the author was fond of passed away. The author who likely might be reading these comments. And Krueger did some cool stuff that everyone use without realizing who did it.
I believe they would all argue that they haven't. They would argue that the current administration is operating within the law towards ends supported, repeatedly, by their constituents.
I disagree with them, but that isn't relevant.
Interesting! There are a lot of super loud cars in my urban area. I want to catalog where and when they drive, so I can stand on the side of the street and shake my cane at them.
Wow. This may be the most offensively condescending messages I've seen on HN.
And unnecessarily so, to boot. Is the Ukrainian system open source? Can you link to it?
Yeah. The last two apartments I've been in have had leaks. I begged the landlord to open up the walls and dry them out. They just painted over it, so I moved out. Sadly, that means two other people now in apartments can never figure out why their place smells musty and they feel a bit congested all the time.
IANAL.
Article 15 says you have the right to request the data and they must provide it to you.
Article 20 says you have the right to get your photos back in a machine readable format.
Sadly, this only applies to those in the EU. Americans can keep taking it, which makes sense as it's an American company that's giving it. Sigh.
Ho Lee Shit.
Nah. I have hosted my domain for 17 years on google and then fastmail. The hosting is harder than private relay, although not too hard.
But I have only had maybe 3 services ever reject my domain, and those were because the domain contains a number.
Oh cool!
I didn't mean the YT wasn't good content. The video fascinated me, and I watched the whole thing.
I meant he is a brilliant engineer doing what brilliant engineers do. He improves things.
I get that the hardware development lifecycle differs from the SDLC. I am out of my depth. But it seems he needs his business partner to say, "Good enough. Ship. Test product market fit. Iterate."
